note by meanmistermustard (26/11/2014): recently it became apparent that this thread and another called ‘Your Favourite Bands (Other than the Beatles)’ had become the same discussion and so in keeping with the continued cleaning up of the forum i have merged them together. The chronology of the discussions should have remained in order with the merge.
Are The Beatles number one in your books, like they are mine?
Other possible favorite bands include:
The Doors
The Who
Jefferson Airplane
Creedence Clearwater Revival
No, I’m kidding, they all SUCK compared to THE BEATLES!!!
(But serious, I will not judge).
When I Twish And Shout, it makes the Girl say "What Goes On?", and than I say, "I do this Here, There and Everywhere", and than she finishes by saying "Honey Don't".

I tell myself they aren’t my favorite band, and that the Turtles or the Zombies are, ’cause people always make fun of me for it, but the Beatles really are my favorite band. What can I say? Some people are Boston fans, some are Green Day fans… some love Led Zeppelin, and others enjoy stupid autotune stuff…
…but the cool people are Beatles fans. I’m a Beatlemaniac!
I’m pretty sure the favorite band for anyone who visits this site is the Beatles… haha Only true Beatles fans regularly visit a Beatles forum.
The following people thank A Fiendish Thingy for this post:

I certainly like other bands (Queen, The Killers, The Alan Parsons Project, The Doors, ELO, Noisettes, Ok Go, They Might Be Giants, etc.), I haven’t joined a forum to discuss them or their music. So there’s that.

I like a lot of bands from around the era: The Who, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Beach Boys , Velvet Underground, Pink Floyd, etc., etc.
"The best band? The Beatles. The most overrated band? The Beatles."

After them, my favorites are (in no particular order):

Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band
Buddy Holly & the Crickets
U2

No question in my mind- there’s really no contest- they are indeed my favourites.
(I think that hallowed position for the boys is here to stay, too!)
Though, I do also like Bob Dylan, Coldplay, Mumford & Sons, Simon & Garfunkel etc, etc.
Tongue, lose thy light. Moon, take thy flight… see ya, George!

Yes.
In second place, U2, Pale 3, Queen, Caifanes, Tears for Fears, The Police, Sigur Ros, (man I’ve forgotten them, I love their music) and Mr. Mister. They’re not bands, but I love Jesse and Joy and Julian Lennon. I have broad tastes in music, but these are the ones I have at least more than one CD.
Here comes the sun….. Scoobie-doobie……
Something in the way she moves…..attracts me like a cauliflower…
Bop. Bop, cat bop. Go, Johnny, Go.

My CD rack has everything from Mozart to Metallica but The Beatles are far and away my favorites.
Other favorites include – in absolutely no particular order…
The Allman Brothers Band
The Band
Bob Dylan
Pink Floyd
Elvis Costello
David Bowie
U2 (mostly because my wife loves them)
The Sex Pistols
The Clash
…and many of the ones listed above – except the Jonas brothers. I am proud to say that although I have heard of them, I’ve never heard a single note they have played/sung/mimed??
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

Be grateful you haven’t.

Anyone one care for The Bee Gee's, I've never really heard to much from them, but my friend says to buy they're hits collection (with like 30 songs) for only 10$.
When I Twish And Shout, it makes the Girl say "What Goes On?", and than I say, "I do this Here, There and Everywhere", and than she finishes by saying "Honey Don't".
