Come on, let's not get carried away! Dear Prudence was maybe a bit off-topic, true; but it takes two people arguing over something trivial to REALLY derail a thread. OK?
Anyways…fight the power, Mr. Sun King !

This is actually a school assignment, writing a letter to a company. I was thinking about the iTunes release and how it featured the Red Album and what a rip off it was and the next day my English teacher said “Everyone, we are going to write letters to companies next” And I thought of other threads and something clicked in my mind

I'm currently writing a letter of complaint to a publishing company about a book that was riddled with errors. It was so poorly researched that my school removed it from the library. I'd say more about it, but then I'd just start ranting and de-rail this thread even more…
If you want to see a real rip-off, iTunes is selling John Lennon's Nutopian International Anthem as a full-price download. That's four full seconds of silence, folks.

Wow – that works out to 32 cents (US) per second. Even the Native Americans who sold Manhattan Island got a better deal than that!

or 24.75 pounds a second
Um, did you type “32” instead of “.32” into a currency converter? Because last time I checked, £24.75 is a LOT more than 32¢.
(Or $0.32)
If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.
iTunes songs sell for 99 pence here, so it's 24.75p per second. Of silence.
