Okay, here it is.
How about this? Imagine this. The Beatles broke up after the Get Back sessions. No Abbey Road , no Phil Spector, none of that. Well, here goes a little trip to London, 1969, starting at a meeting at Apple headquarters. “So, are we going to go on?” Paul asks, unable to hide his anger that it has come to this. “Yep,” George replied. “I can't continue only getting to or 3 songs an album. I need out.” Then John came into the conversation, proposing this; “What about a year away from this to see what we do? We do whatever we want, and then talk about possibly reforming.” They all nodded their consent, but Paul was devastated. But, inspiration comes at strange times. When he was driving back to his Scottish farm a few days later, he got the tune for his latest song, a song he knew would be a hit. But, the lyrics would take a while. When they were done, he called Eric Clapton, Billy Preston and Keith Moon to get it recorded the next day. But, as things happened, wasn't the only thing to happen. Yoko was having pains, so John took her to the hospital. He came out a much different man. He had news, and McCartney had to know first. So he called him, catching him just as Paul was returning to Cavendish from Abbey Road . “Paul, This is me, John. Yoko has cancer.” McCartney was stunned, but he told Lennon to get back to the hospital, and that he would tell Ringo and George. “Well, when I called George, he was almost a different man.” Far from the man who had uttered mean things about Yoko, George rushed back to London to see Yoko and John. “As much as that was a strange situation, I had to,” George said. “I had no other option other then to just live with the strangeness for her benefit, as well as John's.” Ringo also rushed down, but he was already coming down to talk business with Paul. Three hours later, Yoko was taken to surgery. The four of them stayed there, waiting, and praying. She turned out fine, and the lads left to go crash at Paul's for the night. But, the next morning, something happened. The boys starting jamming out, playing those old Motown hits and off – key, demented versions of their Beatles hits. They were energised, but then, tragedy struck. Paul was killed as he was walking to EMI studios to get some time. Killed, by a drunk driver, that man also killed a reunion, and put a tamper on what had amounted to the saving of the most important friendship ever.

Well did that make you happy wen you'd done wroted it, Sun king? Becuase I's had to have saiys that if you was, then it wouldn't have been called one! That was a pretty great story though and so you should write a book, becuase your transitions and opastraphies seems to be pretty nice. Maybe you could add some alliterations though, becuase those always make me real happy and stories that are all aliterations are always really good. Always.

Well thanks for all the reviews. Here is a quick follow up, mostly Paul, set in 1974 after Paul’s Band On The Run flopped. Here goes it:
Paul was defeated. He had just seen his latest album end up as a critical and commercial failure. He truly felt he had a masterpiece. But Band On The Run , his second album of 1973, was a boni-fide failure. Clearly, Macca needed to try something else. So he disbanded Wings and went to Scotland to try and get some piece. Well, a month later, George called. “Hello?” Paul muttered, expecting a reviewer again. “Hey Paul, I need a favour. Could you come up to Esher and play some bass on my next record? I am desperate.” Paul was flabbergasted, but he couldn’t say no to George. “Sure. I’ll be down tomorrow.” So McCartney went, laying down the tracks. When he and George started listening to the one song Paul didn’t dub, a cover of the Everlys hit Bye Bye Love, he noticed Harrison was unimpressed. So he asked “What’s wrong with this?” Harrison almost fainted. How could have Paul realised he was dissatified? Seeing his face, McCartney said, “I could see your face. How about some high harmonies?” George gave his the mike, and let him save the track. That day saved their friendship, and also sparked fierce media speculation of a reunion. But Paul still had 1 thing to do. He wanted to (some say needed to) make a album that was truly fantastic before he went back to the Beatles. Lennon told him to make an album that he would want to buy himself. So, Paul started recording. He had George record a few blistering solos, let Linda take a lead vocal and even poked fun at the queen. But the real key to this record was his decision to take Joe Strummer, an unknown at the time who later became famous as a member of Clash, and have a duet on the hard rocker Soily, previously attempted by Wings. This song was released as a single, propelling Paul to the top of the charts, while journalists all proclaimed it was terrific. However, the record didnt have a name. Harrison suggested “Time and Time, Tunes till Ten”, Strummer said “Songs for Sunday’s, and Linda said McCartney 2. But Paul came up with a title to trump them all. Trip Down Memory Lane, when released in 1976, was a massive hit, leading 1 journalist to say “As with the Beatles, McCartney is finally back at the front of the trends, not at the back.” However, he got a scare at his first tour stop, when a loud and obnoxious fan started heckling his fellow fans and the Band. Other fans started hitting him, leading to a fight that killed the loud fan. However, that was only the beginning…..

This isn't even my ideal world – just one from my imagination. This next one may be shorter, but I feel this is my magnus opus:
The Fateful Night that wasn't?
“This is Roosevelt hospital in New York. Reports John Lennon has passed away are false, although Lennon is in critical condition. He will be released, if all goes well, within a month. Our thoughts are with miss Lennon and their child, Sean.” John recovered faster than everyone felt, but he couldn't just start back right away. But by June 1981, he was back in the studio. One day, however, there was a guest. Neil Young, who came to pitch a joint tour of the UK and of America. Lennon's response was tempered, although he was excited. He agreed, and they launched a massive tour, ending with special guests Elton John and Brian Wilson helping out at the tour ending show at Liverpool's Anfield stadium. They traded verses of Caroline No, Bennie And The Jets, Only Love Can Break Your Heart and A Day In The Life . But the most significant Lennon related event was a fluke. One day after a Recording session at Record Plant East, Lennon heard this fantastic guitar work playing faintly. Intrigued as he was, he went to find the player. Upon finding her, he says “Bloody nice work,” in his scousest accent possible. The guitar stopped. The player turned to see her idol, her childhood hero, right behind her. But, never one to pass up a joke, she replied, “It's not bad. Better then yours anyway.” And across Lennon's face, one thing entered. A huge grin. He invited her to dinner, where Lennon realised she was a lifelong Beatles fan, with him as his favourite. She asked him questions about Paul, if he had any regrets, and whether or not there are any unreleased songs. In response, he asked her favourite songs, does she write her own music, and if she was better at lyrics or music. However, her greatest moment was at the end, when Lennon, on top of her dinner, gave her $500 and 5 recording dates to see if there was enough to record an album. There was, and the album, released as All Or Nothing (named after Tom Petty's contribution to the record), was a massive hit, topping both the British and American charts. Lennon produced her album, picking 10 original songs by her, picking Woodstock as the 1 cover, and getting George Harrison , Tom Petty and Neil Young to write her a song. But, there is more to come.
(Notes: The Girl is MeanMrsMustard, All Or Nothing is a real Tom Petty song from 1991, and MMM gave me the idea to have Elton John and Brian Wilson join Lennon and Young at the Liverpool concert.)
