With the 09.09.09. Remasters I finally finished my Beatles Collection (at least the main 13)
Except for Yellow Submarine
Is it really a Beatles Album or just a way to release 4 new songs?

As if it matters how a man falls down.'

Just a way to release four OLD songs, I think, actually!

GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

Unfortunately, yes. Most of this album is complete rubbish. But Yellow Submarine continues to be one of the Beatles most recognizable songs, although it lacks the artistical merit of some of their other songs.

That keeps me up at night. “Why?” I ask myself. “Why is 'Yellow Submarine ' the most easily recognized Beatles song? Would it be so hard for people to identify the Beatles with 'A Day In The Life ' instead?”

Oooh, this feels like it deserves its own topic.

It's just a kid's song. They were having fun, when I hear John's shouting I sometimes smile. Besides, Ringo's drums when he sings “and he told..” are nice.

Hmm…actuallly, I think “Yellow Submarine ” probably IS more easily recognized than “A Day In The Life ” for a number of reasons. The fact that its title appears nowhere in the lyrics is just the first strike against it.

I believe it was called “one” of the Beatles most recognizable songs, not “the” most recognizable song. We don't want you lying awake nights unnecessarily.

Well, better writing them than RE-writing them!  😉

Well it is a Beatles album probably a way of releasing some songs, but i think that the Beatles never considered this one a real album and more of a soundtrack album, actually i think they suggested also releasing a Yellow Submarine EP With the 4 new songs and “Across The Universe

John, Paul, George and Ringo= The Beatles

And i buried Tulio!

Yes this slightly angers me too how most people only know Yellow Submarine and a few others. But I find most people these days haven’t heard A Day In The Life , unless they are Beatles fans themselves, which is a shame.

What You’re Posting

Look what you're posting – I'm laughing and I’m toasting,
Your last post to me – It’s too funny,
What you're posting to me?

You got me dying – there's no denying it,
I’ve never laughed so much – my sides I clutch,
What you're posting to me?

I’m reading your posts today,
Wond'ring what you're gonna say,
If there’s someone who likes word play,
It's me.

Please don’t stop writing – you are delighting me,
Why should it be so much – you have the touch,
What you're posting to me?
What you're posting to me?

😀

Oh, crap. Does this mean I have to re-write ANOTHER song?

“And Your Bird Can Post”

You tell me that you've read everything you want

And your bird can post!

But you don't get Zig.

You don't get Zig.

You say you've read seven forums

And your bird is green!

But you can't see Zig

And his latest post.

When your favorite posters

Start to bring you down

Look in Zig's direction-

He'll be round

He'll be round.

(instrumental break)

When those posts are stupid

Will it weigh you down?

You may remember Zig-

He'll be round.

He'll be round.

You tell me you've read every post there is

And your bird can swing!

But you can't see Zig

You can't see Zig.

SONG (not-quite)WAR!
