Off topic slightly: I’ve just remembered my last Beatles song I ever heard, and could probably prove it: Only A Northern Song . Can anyone else remember their last song?
Haha I was thinking of volunteering that information when I saw the thread revival! I was calling them my favorite band ever as early as 1981 but it took me a whole dozen years after that till I finally bought a used CD of HELP! to hear my last 4-5 unheard Beatletrax…I think YLMTM woulda been the last, either that or Lizzie (the live versh I was already familiar with, for what that’s worth.) Strange that those two are both well among my most disliked tracks.
Oh…I didn’t hear Mary Jane or nearly anything from the Anthologies until this past decade, if those count.

The first Beatles songs I heard were From Me To You , Love Me Do , and I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends (I was confused about the I Get High With A Little Help From My Friends line, I didn’t know what that meant at the time haha). I used to watch the Wonder Years as a kid, (I was born in 1985) and I Get By was the theme song to that show. Good memories

Distinct memories of dancing around the living room with me mum to “Good Day Sunshine “. I was 5. In fact “Revolver ” was the first LP I ever owned, got it for Christmas and the tag said it was from “Ringo”. I still hold that album and song very close in my heart.

An ex girlfriend’s dad used to call me Ringo all the time. It was his little nickname for me. Your name isn’t Danielle by any chance is it?

The first Beatles song I really liked was probably, and this is very cliché, I Want To Hold Your Hand . The first time I heard it I repeated it ten times, it was just utterly amazing to last year me. (September, last year, I believe)

You say that as though you don’t like John anymore?

I think it was some random PPM track like Thank You Girl .

The Hole Got FixedI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I understand. I was on a mad kick of that song, years ago, when I was first rediscovering the Beatles and discovering the charm of the early stuff.
