Hmm I should look into the book. Is it pretty accurate as the way they played it? Yeah i play rhythm. Also does it go into strum patterns? John was very underated in my opinion. All the rhythm parts of his song are always unique.I always though the was great on All My Loving . But, yes it is really accurate, it was “specially arranged by Ricky Rooksby from the actual recordings, in the original keys,” it says on the back. But some small stuff is missing like in the book for Norwegian Wood , it just said D for most then Cadd9 then G/B, when for that whole d part he does some hammer-ons and other D based chords that i figured out by listening.
Yeah I think what I was playing is what he hammers. It covers strum patterns?
Exactly… and nope, that you have to figure out
Check out this cover I just recorded of Fixing A Hole . Wish I had McCartney’s range but I think my vocals in this cover give the song a slightly different vibe. I did my absolute best to do the song justice. It’s one of my all time favorites. Give it a listen

Very cool! Your voice does give the song a slightly different vibe, but I like it! I think the low range (which is really impressive) makes it really eerie and interesting. It kind of grabs you. Kudos!
I don't expect you... to understand after you've caused so much pain. But then again, you're just a human... a victim of the insane.

I really like your cover, @toddwareham! Don’t excuse your low vocal range (and I have to agree that it’s impressive!) nor the different vibe it gives the song. The point in covering a song isn’t copying it, but making your own version of it. I especially enjoyed the guitar – those chords sure gave me goosebumps all over! Great job! 🙂

I don’t have a recording on me, but we’ve got to do a “unique interpretation” of any song we want for Music at school. I’m not sure what song I’ll do; I’ve been thinking about In My Life , Girl or Norwegian Wood . There are more I could possibly do – I’d like to do I’ll Follow The Sun , my favourite Beatles song, although I can’t play that on piano.

Here’s a cover of my favourite song ever, I’ll Follow The Sun – I’ve given it some new lyrics which I hope you’ll enjoy, and a slower, sadder tone. Apologies for the recording quality and singing voice; I’ve never liked my voice, since it’s so high-pitched, but here it is anyway! Enjoy!

Hey man, feeback
First of all I really liked the piano in it like @Mr Kite said, good job! I also liked the way you added in your own lyrics too, that was clever And some parts your voice sounded awesome like at 0:51 to 1:09
Just a couple of flaws, just my two cents but I think at certain points in the song you sounded as though you had to struggle to hit the notes? Or maybe you just need some more oopmh in your voice like at 1:36 “Yet tomorrow may RAIN”, the ‘rain’ seems kind of like it could have been higher and I’m not sure if you deliberately did it that low or if you struggle to hit higher notes, if you can’t hit high notes I suggest practicing because practice makes perfect as they do say Or try lower songs because that’s a Paul song and you know how Paul likes to add in challenging parts in his songs… he’s such a troll, like ‘Tomorrow may rain’ part in the song. And if it was deliberate I suggest going higher because I personally don’t think the song suits being low at certain points, but then again that’s just my opinion and you don’t have to listen to it, maybe I’m just going deaf xD
Overall, nice cover man! I think with enough practice you can be even more awesome!
Why don’t you give me feedback on my cover of ‘There’s a place’? Ignore the picture LOL

@TheBeatlesJohn The picture’s the best part! Pretty good, I think the harmonica was a little off key, but good otherwise. I think you sang the lower part the best, that’s probably where your voice goes naturally.

Hahahahaha And I agree with you there, I feel like the higher harmony was also trying to take over a bit too much, maybe I should have lowered the track for it in Sony Vegas too to see if it would make any difference thanks and what do you think of the instruments for example the bass and harmonica? And thanks for the great feedback man!
EDIT: WOW sorry about that hahahaha I completely read that wrong! I thought you said the high vocal was off key
Anway, thank you Yeah I don’t really play harmonica that much mainly just on the occasion for certain songs like this one and Love Me Do
I tried, but man, how the heck does John play it like that??

@MrMoonlight, have you tried speeding the song up a bit? I think it would sound better if you did, and it’d be easier to hit the higher parts as well. Nice job, nevertheless.
@TheBeatlesJohn, the harmonica was way out of tune as well as the higher harmonies in some parts. You might wanna work on that. But the pic is definitely legendary!

So I think I’m going to start a project/experiment, that should be fun and interesting although very difficult. I’m going to try (as accurately as my skills will allow me to pull off) to cover an entire Beatles album. I however, do not have the best voice, especially when singing Beatles stuff, and I have no drum kit. I may omit these parts, but it wouldn’t sound right then, and I could find the drum tracks online, but I don’t think it would be a true cover anymore. Either way I’m going to begin to attempt this… I’m thinking Pepper or Rubber Soul … anyone have a suggestion?
I should have a cover up later that’s not related to this…

@Mr. Kite I’d love to hear your version of the White Album . Stylistically it’s the most varied of their albums, giving you the chance to stretch out and play (unless you’re looking to just do straight covers), and I’d love to hear how you do the rarely covered Revolution 9 .
