I’ve done one cover… but it’s cheating because it’s on Garage Band.
Anyway, it’s horrible. It’s a cover of Taxman , and I couldn’t figure out the guitar chords, so I just played something that sounded right. I’m sure the bass isn’t right, and the guitar solo is just awful. I had a really hard time trying to figure it out, so I basically just improvised. And it wouldn’t even let me reach one of the higher notes, so it sounded even worse. My timing is off, and the drums aren’t even close to correct. The only thing good about it is the singing- which isn’t even that good, although the harmonies are kinda cool. Whatever. It’s a start.

It seems as if covers don’t go very recognized here.
But regardless, here’s what I’ve done with I’ll Follow The Sun .
The following people thank DBTC for this post:

This is my cover of “I Saw Her Standing There “, it’s me playing Rhythm and Bass guitar with some Lead guitar thrown in.
I already posted this in the best covers thread, so I hope this isn’t spamming, I just want some more people to watch it. Thanks!

Does anyone else find the vocals on The Beatles’ songs very high? I can barely sing along to many of them because they’re at least an octave too high for me. The chorus of She Loves You springs to mind, but there are others.
I noticed that when doing Yesterday (should have done it lower, or at least record it lower and then speed it up a bit):
Sont des mots qui vont très bien ensemble.

Hello,
It always amazes me how well beatles songs both translate to other instruments and stay powerful no matter what medium. It was Jake Shimabakuru’s version of While My Guitar Gently Weeps that inspired me to play Ukulele in the first place.
The Following is my take on Eleanor Rigby on Ukulele with the assistance of some close friends on vocals, guitar and Djembe.
That song was always very special to me.

Hi, Beatle fans:
Being a musician and member of the Facebook group THEME MUSIC, I have recently put a unique spin on several Beatles tunes. I liked the way they came out so much I decided to issue a FREE EP, LET IT BEATLES. It includes a hip hop take on Eleanor Rigby , a mash-up of two Lennon Beatles classics and more! Fun and entirely free!
Peace and love, man.

Here’s a video of me playing the first solo in While My Guitar Gently Weeps . It was played by Eric Clapton of course, which is why I got my white Strat out.
Check it out! Let me know what you think! (I know it’s not the greatest quality in the universe video-wise though.)

Wow, that’s pretty good, although I don’t care much for Eric. And I generally get annoyed when guitar soloists do those Carlos Santana scrunchy-face things!
Also I thought Clapton used a Gibson SG or Les Paul for this? Not that I can really tell just from listening…
