Nice job @Beatlebug! Very good cover! Now next you should do Revolution 9 … or any other White Album song.

Enjoy!
You’ve got one of those cool singing voices, I love the solo, terrific work!

Great stuff! I can’t remember where we are with the Beatles Bible Band these days but yours sure would be a great voice for Blackbird .
I was just going to add a smiley but that function doesn’t seem to be working, but anyway, there probably wouldn’t be enough apples in the barrel!

Love it. You have a great voice and singing style.

Good job Silly Girl, nice Bob Dylan singing/acoustic guitar playing style of Something , but you need to learn about overdubbing. On the album version, there’s 3 guitar parts which are John’s rhythm guitar (1965 Epiphone ES-230TD Casino) and George’s lead guitar (1957 Gibson Les Paul Standard), both on the backing track, and George’s overdubbed solo (1957 Gibson Les Paul Standard) which he recorded live with the orchestra. What you could do to improve the song is to record the vocals and rhythm guitar and then record the lead guitar as an overdub.
Maybe you should try posting more.

Well perhaps the goal wasn’t to reproduce the original. Perhaps the goal was to make a nice, simple, acoustic version. And if so, mission accomplished.

I know, right?
SG really nice job. I love the way you sang “wooooooohs me” just like George. A detail only a Beatles fan remembers to include.
Ahhh thank you! I don’t think I consciously did that, but the original is so ingrained in my DNA by this point that I’d be surprised if I wasn’t channeling Hari to the max.

Ahhh thank ewe2 Everyone seems to like my voice, so I guess it must be all right (though I have my doubts from time to time ). And that solo is the pride and joy of my life… though I find it impossible to keep from doodoodooing.

I’ve actually recorded that one too, but I don’t think I have got a very good take yet. However, I’ll see if I can dig it out.

I wish I had multitracks but I don’t. It was all I could do at the time to record demos, and I can’t even do that at the moment.
@Pablo Ramon stuck up for me, thank you sir

Technical limitations, as I said, and I thought a very raw version would be a good introduction.
…Except that it’s not an acoustic version, however much it may sound like one; I was actually playing my Stratocaster (Sadie), plugged into my CD player (I have a real amp now, but no recording equipment).

That’s what @pepperland recommended. And if I had a device to use it on, I would.
At any rate, my demos are still probably better than Roger Waters’s.

I hope you don’t mind, @Beatlebug but I couldn’t help trying to play bass along to it, here is a somewhat edited version:
https://drive.google.com/file/…..sp=sharing
There are mistakes etc, it was just fun to play with it and I used audacity to do it, so you can see its a pretty handy thing.
I’m planning on doing a cover of Old Brown Shoe , hopefully I can do it tomorrow and my voice is working.

Good bass playing ewe2, although it doesn’t quite fit in with the song. Are you using a Rickenbacker like Paul most likely used on the original or a Hofner or some other bass because I’d like to know what bass model you’re using.
Maybe you should try posting more.

Out of curiosity, how many basses and guitars do you have? And will you not play songs where models of instruments other than the ones you own are used?

G&L Tribute SB-2, ghs pressurewound strings. Paul might have used a Precision on the track, he used one a lot on the Abbey Road sessions. It wouldn’t be either of the Hofners, they couldn’t keep intonation up the fretboard, and it’s not the Rickenbacker, Precisions have a thumpy edge with a pick. But I played that with my fingers, cos it has a nicer feel on the SBy.
