Here is a cover my 10 year old daughter performed of “Oh! Darling ” on piano at an open mic in Nashville. I hope you enjoy!
I did enjoy her cover. Thanks for posting it. Here’s a thread you might enjoy. https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..e-beatles/

I recorded the entire Abbey Road album in my home studio, and I really wish more people would hear and give their opinion
I’m Jordan, 19 years old, no instrument is programmed, all live.

First off, welcome to the beatlesbible family Jordan! This is a great site, because the members are great – very cool and knowledgeable. @Joe’s design is very creative too, the way he worked Beatles references into the forum names for example. I’ve learned a whole lot in the year I’ve been here. There is a topic to introduce yourself to the group, if you feel so inclined.
As far as your Abbey Road cover, I think it’s freaking tremendous! You’re like Prince (he played all the instruments on at least the vast majority of his songs). You’re very talented Do you write? You might even go so far as to post this to the “favorite beatles covers (by other bands)” topic. If you don’t I might Do you have plans to cover any of the other albums, either Beatles or solos? Have you considered trying to form a tribute band (so you could perform live, not because your cover is lacking in any way)?

Hello Matt.
I’m not intending to cover another Beatles album. Might cover some other band’s album
Anyhow, I’ve been performing Beatles covers for years, nowadays performing Queen covers.
I live in Israel, and my dream is to cover the Let It Be album on a rooftop in the middle of Tel-Aviv. I’m missing 4 brave members and an approve from the police
You are welcome to publish this cover in another section. Meanwhile, here’s my band’s Queen cover on YouTube.
BTW – they’re also my family.

@yardengruman, that is AMAZING!!!!
Now, normally, I avoid Beatles’ covers religiously– out of loyalty to the Beatles. But when I saw yours, I was intrigued by the fact that you played all the instruments yourself. And it’s incredible! How long did it take?
I felt that “Here Comes The Sun ” and “Oh! Darling ” were particularly strong. I’ve tried to sing “Oh! Darling ” through, and it certainly takes some doing. I’ve just gotten to the point where (on a good day) I can make it through the first “When you told me you didn’t need me anymore” bit without my voice breaking. (Shameful, as I’m a girl, so my voice ought to be higher than Paul’s…but range-wise it’s actually about the same…)
Personally, I would have enjoyed it even more if you’d copied the way they sing words ending in R’s, the British English way, sort of omitting the R’s. But that’s just one of my little pet peeves; hope you don’t mind. It’s fab as it is!
Keep up the good work!

Wow, some serious talent in your family. Queen is great if you can find a singer that can handle it. Your sister (?) does a pretty good job of it, but the song doesn’t go too low. Freddie had an amazing voice. Hard to believe he passed the day after announcing his illness publicly.
I’ll see how much response you get here – if you don’t get much feedback I’ll put it into favorite beatles covers…
That’s a great dream you have I hope it comes true and you post it here!
Hi @yardengruman. Welcome to the forum!
I enjoyed your cover versions. Is that a replica Red Special you’re playing in the Queen clip?
I took the liberty of checking out your YouTube channel and saw a few other Beatles covers that people here might be interested in. You have a talented family.

Editing in favour of double-posting (a thing I seem to be doing too much nowadays):
When it ended, I was seriously expecting the opening twangs of ‘Here Comes The Sun ‘.

That’s really, really good! So accurate. The only thing I did notice was that the three descending notes sound a little ‘alone’ or over emphasised somehow. I don’t know how to describe music but they are the 7th 8th and 9th notes of the main phrase. Otherwise it sounds perfect to me.
As SG says keep it coming!

Oh yeah I know what you mean. It’s because both guitar parts play those notes at the same time; the guitar that’s playing chords instead of the main riff goes right back to normal after that.
Thanks Guys! 😀

@TwoAfter908
I had another listen to your cover of ‘I Want You (She’s So Heavy)’ and I just thought I’d constructively criticise your cymbal fills, which seem to be slightly over-emphasised, obstructing the other sounds. Perhaps it’s my low-quality speakers, but I thought I’d point it out. Otherwise, everything’s spot-on!

@TwoAfter908 What do use to record? I’ve just got a Zoom R8 I’m just getting to grips with. It’s quite a steep learning curve but it’s good fun!

Yeah, I did a lot more drum fills than Ringo did, one cause I just added my own touch, and one because it’s fun. 😉 I didn’t really mix it as well as I could have though, which is why the drums could be obstructing other sounds. PS I need better speakers too haha 😀

I have 6 microphones on my drum kit going through an interface into my computer, and I have a separate USB microphone for recording acoustic guitars and other instruments. I plug my guitar and bass right into the interface. It’s the Tascam US-1800, I recommend it as an amazing starter to multi-track recording 🙂
