This is me, doodling around on the bass strings of my acoustic guitar to “Bip Bop“.
The sound quality of the ipod I’m playing leaves much to be desired — sounds sort of like those transistor radios which Ancient Mankind used to listen to many aeons ago, and the music in a couple of places seems to jump or skip.
But it was fun.

I’ll admit that I hate “Bip Bop,” but good job with the playing. Sounded about like the original (besides the sound quality.)

Thanks Bulldog! It’s about the lowest sound quality possible without being intolerable! Yeah, “Bip Bop” is one of those songs that people either like or hate. One reason I like it is that the chord changes are so fun: those regular interludes where the bass walks up from E to G for the progression of G – A – B – C – D (then back to E) are so cool, imo.

I did a cover of Across The Universe a while ago and posted it on youtube, I hope you like it!
This is just one of the large number of Beatles covers I have done, I have probably done at least more than half of their catalogue before!

@MarshmallowPie, I listened to all your covers with full attention. It took me a while, that, but there wasn’t a second I didn’t enjoy. You have a truly amazing voice and your singing technique is impressive. Perhaps you should invest in a better guitar some time soon, but other than that, everything sounds great. Bravo. I hope you post some more soon. I also hope you won’t mind that I’ll play your cover of Comfortably Numb to a bunch of friends. Keep up the great job!

I like the music to it, mainly the bass, so I enjoyed that!
@MarshmallowPie Great cover! I also enjoyed Something , but I agree with ScrambledEggs, you should get a better guitar if you can, it sounds like you can play, but the quality isn’t that great.

thanks so much, I appreciate the time you invested in my music! To be completely honest I am much more a singer than a guitarist, in fact in my band I only sing and occasionally play some keyboard. I have a nice 12 string which is the one you hear on Across The Universe but the early ones have my grandma’s old guitar.

This features old 1920s radio samples, with some effects and layering to add more of a disturbing factor. I scream a few times, too.

@MrMoonlight I know you’ll disagree with me, but I love your voice.
I am working an a classical guitar cover of Here There And Everywhere . It’s turning out to be one of my better arrangements, but I need to figure out how to get a good recording of it since my usual system for recording is giving me a lot of trouble.

Get Back ! I’ve only just realised that I can plug my keyboard directly into my computer, which I’ll definitely use a lot more in future.

@MrMoonlight I dont know if someone has told you this here but you sound a bit like John.
I do kind of go for a John sort of voice, and not entirely by choice, either – The Beatles were the first singers I ever got into and I picked up most things from John. For once, I actually like my voice on this one – the double-tracking makes it seem thicker (and be able to focus solely on my voice instead of guitar and voice together), and I guess I’ve come out of my shell a bit more when singing, as you can tell from the screaming of “get back!”.

Name another Beatles song you’d like me to cover, and I’ll see if I want to – I’m out of ideas.
