and.. umm, yes, their sound collages like Sea Of Monsters , but that doesn’t count.
Mostly If I dislike a song from the Beatles I cannot remember it…
and mainly from weak early Beatles Album.. I can only remember favourites : Love Me Do , Eight Days A Week , etc
and yeah, some songs in Past Master Vol.2 …

Hold Me Tight has some of the least inspired lyrics in the Beatles’ catalog. It’s somewhat saved by it’s upbeat tempo and catchy tune.
Don’t Bother Me has awkward chord changes, and is generally lackluster in performance. I’ll give George a pass, as it’s one of his first, but it sticks out like a sore thumb whenever I hear it.
Los Paranoias is bad. Bad, bad, bad. I don’t know if it even counts though as it’s literally a throw away, but it makes other spontaneous crap like Maggie May look marvelous in comparison.
Teddy Boy is also one that gets skipped quite a bit.
Don't you know? It's gonna be alright. (Shoo-bee-doo-wop)

I don’t see why everybody hates Yellow Submarine ….personally I think it was a clever little joke! By producing all these “mature” and more creative songs and then throw in a little tune reminiscent of their younger days was a stroke of genius!
"White Album - My joint-fave Beatles album along with Revolver. They show the two sides of Beatles. Revolver's very controlled - even though it's also very innovative. The White Album's playful and almost ramshackle. It's like a scrapbook kept by a genius. Fantastic stuff."

Welcome to the Forum, LikeASir.
Personally, I love the song. My wife is a Ringo fan – every time this song comes on we have a grand sing-a-long.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

There aren’t many songs that have greater sing-a-long-ability than Yellow Submarine ! I love it – it’s a bit of fun and one of those tunes that has you humming it for the rest of the day.

Thanks for all the welcomes! My personal worst song has to be Dig A Pony . In fact, I hate the whole Let it Be album apart from Get Back and Cross the Universe.

So… of the songs on the official studio albums (to make it easier), what do you think is the worst Beatles song? (I did an advanced search, but if there’s already a thread like this, please tell me.)I think it’s Her Majesty .
Oh, yeah, one more thing: Revolution 9 doesn’t count.
Hey Jude – seriously – way to many ‘nanna na nas’ for me. Love the first part though.

But what about the “unofficial” studio albums? Won’t somebody think of Something New and Beatles ’65?
Anyways, I’m sure this says more about me than anything else, but the song I more or less skip over quite a bit is “For You Blues” from Let It Be . Weakest song on the album and weakest song from George during his Beatles career (and I’m sure that song made the album only because it wouldn’t “overshadow” Paul or John’s stuff, like we know “All Things Must Pass ” or “Hear Me Lord ” would have), though I do like John’s slide guitar solo.

‘The Inner Light ‘? Interesting you don’t like it. I love it. Think it has a nice rhythm to it, created by the sitar, and the lyrics are equally as impressive.

Yeah, I really like that one too. Same goes for For You Blue and Yellow Submarine . I’ve never understood all the hate for YS.

In my opinion the dislike of Yellow Submarine comes from the idea that Revolver is this incredible album filled with mystical backward effects, tape loops and great lyrics and then you have a singalong kiddies songs with simple lyrics, sound effects and Ringo on vocal. Totally out of proportion but then some arty farty types moan if a Beatles song dares to not have incredibly simple cosmic lyrics and the hi-hat slighty too high in the mix.

^ Yeah, you’ve put that very well. It goes against the whole idea of Revolver that some people have. Yes, it was and still is a very important lp in the history of popular music or sixties music and the Beatles, but that doesn’t mean it was all “deep” stuff at that time – forget how you want it to have been.
