WYWY is definitely one of my top 3 in Sgt. Pepper . It perfectly continues the psychedelic atmosphere in Mr. Kite using Indian elements. Both the melody and the instruments present the harmony of classic Indian music and modern rock&roll–That breakdown, with sitar and strings answering each other, is amazingly beautiful. As for the lyrics, it is not the depth but the way George expressed his belief in such plain words that impresses me. The Eastern philosophy of “The Inner Light ” isn’t strange to me, but instead of focusing on individual world, he turned this into a universal call for love and understanding. That’s what I admire the most.
Plus, covers by Patti Smith and Sonic Youth are also worth listening!

I agree completely, he is fantastic. I don’t know how he managed to be so amazing and write such brilliant stuff, but I’m very glad he did.@All Things Must Pass you should participate more in the Fiendish Thingies club!
Glad he did it too!! I will!
