I wish they had made a cover of Too Much Monkey Business in the early days.
“Forsan et haec olim meminisse juvabit” (“Perhaps one day it will be a pleasure to look back on even this”; Virgil, The Aeneid, Book 1, line 203, where Aeneas says this to his men after the shipwreck that put them on the shores of Africa)

Got it
Mine are probably going to be considered a bit weird
this probably looks weird but I just wish The Beatles had this chorus . . so not so much a cover as much as I wish they had written it first
and then this song
of course this song . . (1968)
another weird one . . the melody is based on Pachelbel’s cannon
More songs
Empire of the Sun – “Walking on a Dream”
Empire of the Sun – “Alive”
Oasis – “Wonderwall”
KC & The Sunshine Band – “Please Don’t Go”
Badfinger – “Baby Blue”, “No Matter What”, “Maybe Tomorrow”, but definitely “Without You”
Harry Nilsson – “Without Her” . . I’ve always looked at this as a sequel to “For No One “
Also “She Sang Hymms Out Of Tune”
Bobby Caldwell – “Open Your Eyes”
Cher – “Bang Bang” (1966)
Now to make this even weirder
Alice Deejay – “Better Off Alone”
Cascada – “Everytime We Touch” (it’s probably hard to hear this song without her voice but I think the lyrics would be great for a Paul McCartney led track)

I don’t know if I could come up with an exact album of songs, but I’ve always wondered what a Beatles-covering-Led Zeppelin album would sound like. Also, speaking of Beatle/Zeppelin covers, I’ve already heard some bootlegs of Led Zeppelin playing Beatles tunes/covers at concerts (Twist And Shout and From Me To You come to mind), and they were just awesome!
Now that I think of it, that album would probably sound hilarious considering how incredibly un-Robert Plant-like their voices are.

Save the last dance for me – Ben E King and The Drifters
What a classic! I wish they’d done it…I guess they were quite fond of it given that they did a cover (parody?) of it during the Get Back sessions, and John produced Harry Nilsson’s album which had that song there..

Yes! I always thought it was sort of a Paulish vocal thing. I can totally picture him beltin’ it out.

I can’t pick one, but I will say that I’d like to hear The Beatles cover anything by The Rolling Stones and or The Beach Boys . Those were my 3 favorite bands when I was really young. If I had to pick one song from each to hear them cover, it would have to be Jumping Jack Flash and Wouldn’t It Be Nice.

I think it’s really weird that Led Zeppelin would choose those songs to cover instead of a song like Helter Skelter or I Want You (She’s So Heavy). It reminds me of how Train (AKA those guys who sang Soul Sister and Stars Of Jupiter among other pop rock numbers) did a cover of the entire Led Zeppelin II album, but the funny part is that they actually do a fairly good job on it (not nearly as good as Led Zeppelin themselves, but very impressive). Just the idea of a Train, a pop rock band covering Led Zeppelin, a Hard Rock/Heavy Metal band is as far fetched as N*Sync doing a cover of War Pigs or One Direction doing a cover of the entire A Night At The Opera album.
