I have 1.5 days worth of music on my iPod. The only non-Beatle in there is Elvis. Regardless of what music is played at my funeral, my wife has been instructed to do the following.

Just before they close my casket; put the headphones over my ears, select the repeat setting and press play.

To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

And install an outlet in your casket….

I really think this is a really morbid post (really). I went to a friend's funeral on Thursday, and they played Hot for Teacher by Van Halen which was pretty cool, given how much he liked them.

I know we all go, but right now, I want to focus on living.

In My Life , All Things Must Pass , things like that.  Also, I want Wonderful Christmas Time played, because my mom HATES that song, so I can have one last stab at her. a-hard-days-night-paul-11

That would be pretty funny actually. 🙂

I'd like The Prophet's Song by Queen, Strawberry Fields Forever by The Beatles, and then Always Look On The Bright Side of Life by Monty Python. The congregation will then perform John Cage's 4'33.

I told her I didn’t

I'd much prefer Sit on my Face, Python-wise.

You all will have read that Dave Dee is no longer with us. But Mickey and Titch and I would like to carry on the good work that's always gone down in number two.

I don't think that would have the same effect. I'd want my dad to turn to my mum and say, “well, we'll save on electricity bills”.

No, not the song How Kind of You (from Chaos And Creation In The Backyard ). I really have no clue. I do like Zig's idea, though.

After thinking about this for some time, I've decided this song to be played in my funeral. It's by I. Ron Butterfly.

Here comes the sun….. Scoobie-doobie……

Something in the way she moves…..attracts me like a cauliflower…

Bop. Bop, cat bop. Go, Johnny, Go.

Beware of Darkness…

I think I'd have my whole funeral conducted with Beatles music playing in the background.

I Think I will have Let It Be

I would want to have In My Life , Let it Be, and then to finish with a happier song I would want Here Comes The Sun so people aren't crying as much when they leave.

My mind is far away, off in Pepperland…

I would actually want to have Golden Slumbers played at my funeral. But hopefully that will not be for a long long time.

That's a winning combo.
