Ok this is weird because I literally had this conversation with two friends just yesterday. SO here’s my list
Not in particular order – I’m still working on that
In My Life – Beatles
The Curtain Falls – Bobby Darin (but Kevin Spacey version)
I’ll See You In My Dreams (Joe Brown arrangement)
Soft Is The Rain (this is a Christian song but you should give it a listen some time)
I’ll Follow The Sun (I just added thanks to Fool in a field of Strawberries post above)
that’s it.
And I’m 56 so planning such things starts getting pretty real.

This is a very sad topic for me, as I had a friend once tell me as we were riding in her car listening to the radio that she wanted Oasis’ “Live Forever” played at her funeral. She died a few years ago of cancer, and it was not a wish I’d ever expected to fulfill for someone so young.
Her best friend made sure it was played at the wake, and I couldn’t stop crying.

That’s an excellent choice. I’m sorry about your friend.

Sorry to hear that, parlance. I imagine she would’ve been happy it was played
Moving along in our God given ways, safety is sat by the fire/Sanctuary from these feverish smiles, left with a mark on the door.
