Mine would have to be Free As A Bird . Is there any other Beatles song that makes you feel this way. By the way, I almost put Wild Honey Pie , I actually enjoy it. xD.
Free As A Bird and Real Love are good songs, but since Jeff Lynne had his fingers in the production pie, they tended to sound a bit ELO-ish to me. (Just my opinion of course)
I seem to recall Paul saying a long time back that he thought that if the Beatles had remained together they would possibly have ended up sounding like ELO (this was pre “Free As A Bird ” etc I think)? So maybe he saw the opportunity with Anthology and went for it – which makes them both eminently suitable Beatles tracks.

I’d class a song as underrated if non Beatle fanatics have never even heard of it, yet to Beatle fans it’s a classic. For example, before he met me my boyfriend had never heard of A Day In The Life . I was dumbfounded, I assumed everyone knew that song. If someone is not particuarly a fan but is a fan of music (e.g buys music magazines, has a decent general knowledge of important or influential bands of the past 50 years or so) they will know songs like A Day In The Life . However, it’s not a song that tends to get much airplay (at least not that I’ve heard recently) and a lot of people do not know it exists. Even In My Life isn’t known too much outside Beatles fans. So they are both underrated in that sense and deserve to be revered like songs such as Hey Jude and Yesterday . However, if we’re talking about songs that Beatles fans don’t typically tend to rave over but which I think are brilliant, I’d go with something like Don’t Bother Me . People tend to dismiss it and say it wasn’t a bad effort for George’s first but that he came a long way afterwards. I think it’s brilliantly dark, the tune is interesting and different and the lyrics are quite unusual for its time. And when I hear it, I always picture Ringo and George bopping around from A Hard Day’s Night , so that can’t be a bad thing!

I’m not sure if this has already been said, but I consider I’ve Got A Feeling to be terribly underrated. I mean, Paul’s vocals throughout are fantastically boisterous and perfectly contrast the coolness of John’s. The guitar, the percussion, the lyrics, the bass – it all comprises one of my absolute favourites. Why it’s underrated is beyond me.
Edit: This is the Let It Be version that I’m referring to. The Anthology version is great, but it pales in comparison, in my opinion. Nothing beats the energy and liveliness of the former iteration.
I didn't know what I was missing.

Anna (Go To Him) is very underrated because the beginning is sort of dull and people probably change it before Lennon goes to work. I think its one of his best vocals ever. So much emotion, soul and longing in his voice.
I also agree with Long Long Long, I’ll Follow The Sun , She’s Leaving Home , I’ve Just Seen A Face . Not grand single type songs, but great album tunes.
Not sure if its been said already, but I think Norwegian Wood is one of the all time most underrated songs by the masses. Underrated because many non-fans don’t even know it, when it should be one of the top 5-10 most known Beatles tunes. I also think many casual listeners don’t appreciate the brilliance of the lyrics.

^ Hmm, not sure I agree about Norwegian Wood being underrated, it has always drawn a lot of attention from having the first widely known use of the sitar in Western pop music.

I feel like some of Paul’s songs on Sgt Pepper are pretty underrated. A lot of folks just give it right to John in terms of contribution, and while I thoroughly enjoy a listen to Good Morning Good Morning , sometimes I’d rather listen to Getting Better , Fixing A Hole , or She’s Leaving Home .
The Night Before is also a pretty unique vocal performance for Paul (although I’m Down has a similar style) that doesn’t get much attention either. I’m pretty sure guitar harmonies were still fairly new in 1965. I’d have to say it occurred to gain less fame because they never played it live, except at the BBC.
Please don't wake me, no don't shake me, leave me where I am, I'm only sleeping~.

Though, of course, both those songs have pretty major Lennon contributions. Getting Better it was the I used to be cruel to my woman… verse, and She’s Leaving Home the chorus responses lifted from Mimi’s sayings.

Norwegian Wood definitely gets the critical acclaim it deserves by fans and musicians, but I don’t think its as widely known by the general public as it should be. Certainly not as well known as many lesser commonly known songs in my mind. Perhaps I should have said its a Beatles song that should be more popular, not is underrated.
And thanks! Happy to be here.

I’ll totally agree, GenYFan, with your Norwegian Wood observation. Anyone old enough to remember when radio stations had a Beatles Weekend? When, as John lamented, “there’s all that wealth of material but they play the same ten songs! A Hard Day’s Night , Help , Let It Be ….” EVERYONE knows those songs, but only hardcore fans know Norwegian Wood , a song that stood pop music on its ear in 1965, and, I agree, is an underrated classic.

OOoo my votes are for
It’s All Too Much – Love the feedback, distortion, percussion, melody, everything its all too much
Real Love – That melody slays me
Doctor Robert – I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone outside of the internet who off the bat calls that a favorite.
Getting Better /Lovely Rita – These are my favorite of Paul’s Pepper tracks, definitely way up there on that album for me as well
Not really sure how ‘rated’ or not You Won’t See Me is/was, but I do love it.
Other candidates- Blue Jay Way , The Inner Light , The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill , You’re Gonna Lose That Girl (one of my fav scenes from Help ! too) and You Know My Name Look Up The Number is great

Polythene Pam (One of my absolute favorites)
Glass Onion (Possibly the most underrated song. It’s brilliant)
You’ve Got To Hide Your Love Away
One After 909 (I actually prefer the early Anthology 1 version)
For You Blue (Paul’s Concert for George rendition is absolutely fantastic)
And there were more before I cut it down.

Music doesn’t get much better than Tell Me What You See . Considering the number of huge Beatles fans, no songs are really totally unknown. Also now we have YouTube…

Tell Me What You See is very underrated indeed. I also think that I Don’t Want Spoil The Party, I’ve Just Seen A Face and I’m Looking Through You are underrated.

I’d agree with all except I Don’t Want To Spoil The Party . Just doesn’t do anything for me. Tell Me What You See is also very underrated.
I’d also like to throw out that I really like Don’t Bother Me , I think it’s pretty underrated.

Not a big fan of Don’t Bother Me but I would say that it’s certainly very underrated.
