“I Will “I never hear it mentioned, but its one of my favorites.
And I think “I’m Down ” is very underrated, not by actual Beatles fans but by the general public.
I Will is a beautiful song, with a perfect mix of major and minor chords. It’s a shame it’s so short; I love playing and singing it. I tend to make the final chord a minor, just to add a little bit of melancholy to the song, like an unsure future.

I also think Blue Jay Way is criminally underrated. I really, really like it.

I think Julia is underrated. What a sweet love song it is. Maybe not the most criminally underrated one, but I don’t see much love for it here.

I have to agree with vonbontee, Piggies is extremely underrated. It so rarely gets mentioned by any of us here.
Within You Without You is another Harrison song that is often passed over. There used to be a line about it being the first track on side two of Pepper to make it easier to jump over, as you’d just had to get up to turn the record over (that was something we used to have to do in the olden days).

Old Brown Shoe has been brought up, and I agree with that. In my opinion, it has one of George’s coolest solos.
Another underrated gem is Yes It Is , the B-side to… Ticket To Ride , I think. It’s one of my favorites from Past Masters , along with I’m Down . Yes It Is has some great, smooth harmonies like Nowhere Man ; but I also think the volume foot pedal effect from George works best here. It gives the song a really melancholic feel.

I agree! The bass line in “Old Brown Shoe ” is absolutely fantastic and I’ve always loved the “funky” sound of the song. And “Yes It Is ” is such a beautiful song! Great harmonies!

I’ve just listened to Old Brown Shoe for the first time, and first impressions… meh. It’s a great rocker, but the vocals are really, really quiet and George just sounds… bored. It’ll grow on me, I’m sure.

Blue Jay Way is a fantastic song.
I dunno but I think Girl is one of John’s finest songs. Anyone whose heart has been broken can relate with John’s cry “Is there anybody going to listen to my story??”
