A song that seems SO UNDERRATED, that The Beatles all together seem underrated.
Mine would have to be Free As A Bird . Is there any other Beatles song that makes you feel this way. By the way, I almost put Wild Honey Pie , I actually enjoy it. xD.
When I Twish And Shout, it makes the Girl say "What Goes On?", and than I say, "I do this Here, There and Everywhere", and than she finishes by saying "Honey Don't".

How about In My Life ? Now I’m not saying that the song itself is underrated among real Beatles fans, but in terms of their popular songs like Hey Jude , Come Together , Revolution , Let It Be , Yesterday , etc., it is nowhere even close. I mean hell I’ve heard Love Me Do more times on the radio than In My Life which strikes me as absolutely crazy. It’s just that the Beatles were so great that they had a song like this in their “second layer” of great songs and this song is utterly perfect.

Your right, but when I think of underrated, I just think of songs that arn’t on original albums, I don’t know why. In My Life is so much better than Hey Jude .
When I Twish And Shout, it makes the Girl say "What Goes On?", and than I say, "I do this Here, There and Everywhere", and than she finishes by saying "Honey Don't".

I was going through Past Masters Vol 2. For some reason, “Don’t Let Me Down ” blew me away! Now THAT is an under-rated song.

Free As A Bird and Real Love are good songs, but since Jeff Lynne had his fingers in the production pie, they tended to sound a bit ELO-ish to me. (Just my opinion of course)

I agree with you. It’s one of my favorite ones. But for one reason, I wouldn’t consider it underrated because it was included in the Blue Album . I think it’s one of John’s finest. You could hate Yoko but sure she was great source of inspiration
My problem is here that how can you say a Beatle song is underrated? It seems that someone or somewhere out somebody loves a song you think you were the only one to appreciate. Example, I love Dig A Pony and I’d consider it underrated, but my nephew (not a big Beatle fan) told me to lend him my Let it Be album because he loved that song after playing it in Rock Band. Go figure….

I always respect people so much more if they put something like “just my opinion of course”, quite frankly I respect your opinion, and the fact that you introduced it as an opinion.

As for Don’t Let Me Down , I LOVE that song. It’s tied with Rain in underrated (my opinion), but I don’t know, maybe Don’t Let Me Down ‘s better, Preston on the track, very nice touch.

I really like It Won’t Be Long and You Can’t Do That , as well as The Night Before , Think For Yourself , For No One , Oh! Darling and about a billion others. I don’t really think there are that many overrated Beatles songs, but there are a LOT of underrated ones.

Her Majesty is underrated because it’s possibly their best song. It’s the best way to end out the beatles. It’s like an encore.
"The best band? The Beatles. The most overrated band? The Beatles."

Don’t Let Me Down is probably my favorite Beatles track, and I never hear anyone say anything about it. That and Norwegian Wood .

Continuing my trek through Past Masters Vol. 2, I came across, “Old Brown Shoe “. I’ll put that at the same level of under-rated as Don’t Let Me Down “. You never hear them or about them much, but when you do, you’re like, “Wow! Why weren’t these big hits?!!?”

Yeah it is pretty crazy that songs like these were Beatle b-sides.

Blogging on here is indeed addicting.
Talking to people that understand great music when they hear it, posting your own opinions without getting laughed at, and it not costing a dime. That’s something I could get addicted too.

Although Lennon hated it, I’ve always absolutely loved “And Your Bird Can Sing .” The rolling guitar line is just so perfect, it makes the endless hair band guitar solos of the 80s seem downright retarded.
