My older brothers introduced me to the Beatles; by age 10 – in 1968 – I was a diehard fan. I recently lost my best friend of 50 years. At her memorial I left copies of the lyrics for Two of Us and In My Life . Both songs have always seemed to me to be meant as an homage to the relationship between John & Paul – the good and the bad. I can think of no better way to memorialze my friend, who treated me to a Paul concert in the fall of 2016. We were like two screaming teenagers again. I will never forget her or our times together. Thank you Beatles for my lifetime of music. Thank you Paul for my last adventure with my best friend.

Beautiful story @Beatlemom. I’m sorry for your loss, but happy to hear that you had such wonderful times together — and a very fitting memorial! Welcome to the forum.
