George never had a moustache, seriously it was so thick and didn’t look good on him (he lost his cuteness of a being a beatle)John kept the Sgt Pepper persona for longer
Paul should have kept a moustache for longer
Honestly, apart from Tom Selleck and Burt Reynolds, I think George and Ringo are the only other guys I know of who genuinely look good with a mustache. Paul NEVER looked good with facial hair. I didn’t mind John’s mustache initially (when it was ‘extended’), but when he reduced it just before the Sgt. Pepper album cover photo shoot, it lost something. Ringo was the only one who looked good with a beard; John’s and George’s made them look like old men, Paul’s came off as a baby-faced guy desperately trying to assert his manliness.

This will do nicely, thanks.
Here are, controversially, some things I don’t like about the Beatles’ records.
1. The fuzz-bass on Think For Yourself
2. The hammond organ on Mr Moonlight
3. Yoko on The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill

“So unkind” wouldn’t work at all though. There’s actually quite a good internal rhyming scheme in MSH, which McCartney mostly sustains throughout the song. “So” is to rhyme with “Oh-oh-oh-oh”, “Maxwell stands alone”, “Joan” and “tells them so”. The odd line is “Wishing to avoid an unpleasant scene”, which doesn’t rhyme with anything.
The rhymes (as you say) are internal. ‘Avoid’ rhymes with ‘annoyed‘ in the previous line and ‘testimonial’ is used to rhyme with ‘alone’.
The second verse (Maxwell Edison, majoring in medicine) is the only verse that doesn’t have an internal rhyme in the third line to rhyme with the end of the previous line – (‘phone’). Instead McCartney uses an end-rhyme only (‘Joan’). It’s this verse that I consider to be the odd one out. Somehow though, it still works.

I like I’m So Tired as is, but wow, I do enjoy the harmony from Take 14, specifically .28 to .34. Gives the song a different feel and emphasis.

I wish George was more involved in Sgt. Pepper , and the Beatles didn’t record separately on the White Album .

I wish The Beatles only did mono or stereo mixes for their albums as opposed to having 2 different mixes per album.
I’m not too sure about this, but I think either the mono or stereo mix of the White Album doesn’t have the “I’ve got blisters on my fingers”, which is a great injustice to the world.

I thought I once read somewhere (might’ve been this very forum, but then again it also could’ve been a YouTube comment on a song) that John and Yoko were planning to spend Christmas 1980 in England to visit Aunt Mimi, as well as to see Julian and to reconcile with Cynthia. If that story is true (well regardless of if it’s true or false actually), I’m very much heartbroken that none of this ever got to happen.

^He had tried to start building on his Irish island, Dorninish in 1980, I think I read before. He, and Yoko aimed to retire on it (at least they did back in 1970)
I hope we’re a nice old couple living off the coast of Ireland or something like that.
Now whether he would manage to live on a tiny island off the coast of Mayo (especially during the winter), I don’t know, he’d have to be made of hardy stuff.
As for as I know of the island is still for sale so if we want to all chip a couple of grand together to buy an island only good for cattle grazing BUT that a Beatle walked on then….

I think they should’ve definitely put Circles, Not Guilty , Child Of Nature , and Junk on the White Album . They could’ve put Sour Milk Sea on there as well (possibly after a little editing). If they took off Revolution 9 (I have no problem with Revolution 9 , I just think that it should have gone on one of the Unfinished Music albums, not the White Album ), Wild Honey Pie and Don’t Pass Me By , they would have plenty of room to put on all of these awesome songs!
(I know that some people say that John was never really a Child Of Nature and that he knew the lyrics weren’t sincere, because he didn’t like to mow the lawn for Aunt Mimi or whatever, and that when he rewrote Child Of Nature as Jealous Guy he “connected” with it more. I personally like Child Of Nature way more, and wished he had never changed it.)

Ooh, very interesting idea. Not Guilty and Junk would work very well on the White Album .

I agree– on the condition that The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill is taken off instead of Don’t Pass Me By . Ringo deserved a spot on an album after all those years, and The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill is just a mediocre filler. (please don’t kill me)

I don’t know… Jealous Guy is pretty fantastic. To each his/her own, though!

Welcome, StrawberryFields91, the main problem with that suggestion is that the other Beatles blocked John attempting to release songs he recorded with the group as solo recordings. In 1969, John attempted to release You Know My Name (Look Up the Number) and What’s The New Mary Jane as a Plastic Ono Band single [APPLES 1002]. That they blocked the release of these two Beatles recordings as solo work, it seems unlikely that they would have agreed to Revolution 9 being released as anything but a Beatles recording.
