Actually, it’s closer to twenty-one. (I think I got them all.)

Yeah, actually, I looked it up using Wikipedia and “find on this page” after asking this. Assuming Anthology and co-written stuff doesn’t count, I counted twenty-two.

I think that’s a much more complicated question than you think. There’s a difference between how many Harrison songs The Beatles recorded of his, and how many songs he wrote while a Beatle that I’m sure he would have wanted them to record had his songwriting contribution not been limited by John, Paul and (to a certain extent) George Martin. It has to be remembered that much of his All Things Must Pass album was made up of songs written during The Beatles period but rejected by them. Even as late as 1982 George was still able to pull out compositions he’d made as a Beatle which had been rejected (Circles on Gone Troppo ).

I think it’s meant as ‘songs written by George and recorded by the Beatles’, y’all.

I’d agree. I’m just making the point that George wrote many more songs for The Beatles than The Beatles actually recorded, meaning that there are actually two questions regarding George’s songwriting?
How many George compositions did The Beatles release?
How many songs did George write while he was a Beatle?
