It’s sad that only so few have participated but from the ones who have participated and I have talked to about the poll I know that it means a lot to them (and to me as well). My deepest appreciation for all your effort and let’s hope one can draw at least halfway representative results out of the votes that were made.
Not once does the diversity seem forced -- the genius of the record is how the vaudevillian "When I'm 64" seems like a logical extension of "Within You Without You" and how it provides a gateway to the chiming guitars of "Lovely Rita. - Stephen T. Erlewine on Sgt Pepper's

I am looking at the first batch being ready for publication towards the end of this week, beginning of next, @The Hole Got Fixed.It’s just working out where the splits will be, and checking the order, etc. Juggling too many balls right now!
First results will be out by this time next week though.
I’m sorry to always be the one reviving this thread… but…

Offline I’ve just voted. I think my voting, for anyone who might view it, may come across as tactical, and I must admit I perhaps overrated songs I think are deserving of more attention and underrated those I don’t like that much.
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Offline It was highly dispiriting last time we tried it. People found the size of the list too off-putting, and we’ve had the Pepper and WA deluxes since, which would need adding in. Maybe it would prove more manageable and encourage more people to join in if we split it some (maybe 1958-1963; 1964-1966; 1967-1970 + miscellaneous).
I’m still disappointed with myself that I lost the motivation on this last time it was tried.

I like the idea of splitting it into batches, and we could make each batch a poll with its own results, and then go on to the next one once it is finalized.
