I’ve got a question to you all concerning the rating of the songs.
Will you rate the worst song a zero and the best song a ten and all the other songs in comparison to them or will you define ten as ‘masterpiece’ and five as ‘mixed’ and zero as ‘awful’ and rate every song according to that scheme?
Not once does the diversity seem forced -- the genius of the record is how the vaudevillian "When I'm 64" seems like a logical extension of "Within You Without You" and how it provides a gateway to the chiming guitars of "Lovely Rita. - Stephen T. Erlewine on Sgt Pepper's

I think that there can be more than 1 song rated 0 and 10. For example, if I were rating While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Dear Prudence , I would both give them a 10 or if you want something not related to The Beatles, if I were rating singers, I would rate both Elmo and T-Pain at 0 because they both suck at singing, despite the fact that Elmo is the worst singer of all time.
If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

You can give 0 and 10 to multiple songs.
Like While My Guitar would be a 10 along with a few others.

Haha. I had forgotten about 3 Cool Cats. I couldn’t tell if I wanted to give it a 1 or a 10 while I was voting.
I gave it a ten

Also @Ron Nasty, I did not see 1822! on the voting list from the BBC. I know its only ten seconds long, but it is my favorite Beatles speech, and I was expecting to see it.

In the first post, @sir walter raleigh, which contains the list, among my comments I stated:
The majority of spoken word/interview material has been ignored. The Xmas flexis are in, along with a 1968 Kenny Everett interview I felt was in the same vein as the Xmas flexis, and Fly on the Wall – which I couldn’t decide how best to present and so throw it open to discussion.
The list is pretty unwieldy as is, should I have included all the little spoken segments and interviews that have been released that could count – the BBC spoken segments, those bits on Anthology 1 , Capitol’s The Beatles’ Story, Vee-Jay’s frankly bizarre Hear The Beatles Tell All! (interviews with a weird musical backing!) – it would have made the list even more daunting.
You have to draw the line somewhere.
Thanking you for registering your votes though.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank @Pineapple Fields for your votes.

Considering that there’s hardly a day left on the voting clock, how long will vote tallying take before results are announced? A week? Three weeks? 2 hours? 9 minutes (plus an additional 99 seconds)?

I was probably over-generous in my voting since I’m simply glad most of these exist at all. But a lot of differences, particularly between BBC Radio versions of songs, get pretty blurry and it often comes down to quality of recording and quibbly alternate readings. I think it was an impossible job to start with and I’m glad @Ron Nasty stuck to it. Let the games begin!

I have to admit, hugely disappointed with the vote for this.
Massively grateful to those who have voted, but far too few to offer any meaningful results.
For those looking forward to the results, I hate to disappoint but I have made a unilateral to move the end of voting to the end of this month in the hope of getting a few more voters. There should have been a countdown to the end of voting, I will make sure that happens.
Please vote, even if you don’t vote for everything.
The poll can only be as good as you choose to make it.
Apologies again to those who have already made the effort for the delay.

Haven’t been on much lately. Since my company is blocking the link to the poll, I’ll get to it this weekend.

I agree. I felt I should have done a better job establishing a scale of quality so I could have a greater range of ratings.

Sorry but I don’t have the time to rate hundreds of songs so for this you’ll have to count me out. Apologies.
This week i’ve worked, been to a funeral, went to Aberdeen, came back, worked tonight, work the next two full days, out Monday and then it continues.

Huge thanks, @Zig. Disappointing to see people make excuses for not even voting for Anthology and the BBC releases.
Ironic that there were lots of arguments over the Canon, arguments that much of the non-Canon should be Canon, yet we have people arguing that the non-Canon is too large to handle.
If everything had been Canon in the first poll, that would have been 800 tracks.
I respect those who say they can’t be bothered, but those who make excuses about not enough time or too complicated, they disappoint me.
As Zig said, vote for the ones you know and it’s easy and takes no time.
