I wonder how our rankings will compare with the Beatles 1 album. If this group of 39 voters had been the listeners in the 1960’s would we have picked the same #1s?
I kind of thought along the same lines. I’m planning to make my own playlist of our top songs. I just haven’t decided how many songs to put on it. 30? 60?

Folk just can#t get past the lyrics of ‘Run For Your Life ‘ and Nasty John for some reason and hence its far lower than it deserves to be. If a choice between this and ‘All You Need Is Love ‘ then, sure the message of the latter is stupendous etc but give me the jealous murderous threats please. Its a fantastic song with a wonderful guitar part from George and super vocal from John. John disliked it, George loved it, and we all know John could never properly judge a Beatles track of his own.
Otherwise ‘Maxwell’ is fun but placed right for me.
‘Till There Was You ‘ has one of George’s best guitar solo’s – listen to the Decca version and you’ll be amazed how far the Beatles came in less than two years: the pace is non-existence thanks to Pete Best, Paul is trying so hard its worse than amateurish and George seems unable to play guitar never mind forgotten how to. Can only imagine John was hiding in the corner desperately trying not to be seen. on ‘WTB’ there is a real maturity in the song – and Ringo. You are all insane and the same goes for ‘All I’ve Got To Do ‘ and Wait ‘ which should be higher (or is that lower, i never know with these countdowns).
And why on earth is ‘Bungalow Bill’ 50 places from where it should be (ie in the low 200’s)?
Out of interest did folk vote the album (ie non-Ringo) ‘Love Me Do ‘ less than the single version because there is no Ringo?

I would hope that is the case. It’ll be interesting to see where the “Ringo” version falls.
As for the rest of this grouping; it seems that as we get closer to the middle of the pack, the “middle of the pack” songs are appearing pretty much where I thought they would. I am not surprised by anything here.
My biggest shocks came about after seeing the first two groupings. It’s funny how that has me on the edge of my seat as each new group is revealed.

I think i gave both versions of ‘LMD’ the same mark. Truth be told i prefer the one with White on drums and Ringo sulkily thwacking a tambourine in the corner whilst giving George Martin the death stare.

170 (231) Till There Was You –> Should be WAYYYYYY higher. One of my favourite Beatles tunes
169 (232) Maxwell’s Silver Hammer –> What’s not to like? Deserves a much higher ranking.
=167 (233) What You’re Doing & Words Of Love –> I kind of like them, but I’m not saying they should be higher. I can live with this.
=164 (234) All I’ve Got To Do & Do You Want To Know A Secret & Rocky Raccoon –> Sounds about right.
163 (237) Wait –> I’m okay with this too.
=161 (238) The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill & The Inner Light –> These could actually be lower afaic
=159 (239) Savoy Truffle & Yes It Is –> I’d rank these a bit higher, because they’re catchy
=155 (240) Dig A Pony & Don’t Pass Me By & It’s All Too Much & Run For Your Life –> Run For Your Life should be WAY higher. The others are fine here
=153 (241) Long, Long, Long & Rock And Roll Music –> I LOVE Rock And Roll Music ! Should be higher.
=151 (242) Love You To & There’s a Place –> OK I guess, although I love There’s A Place
=149 (243) Love Me Do [album version] & Piggies –> I know Piggies isn’t very popular, but I like the political message of it. I ranked it a lot higher. Love Me Do should be higher for nostalgic reasons.
Seriously… What the hell is wrong with you people? Geez… This makes me very afraid of the rest of the results.

At least we can all agree that Long, Long, Long isn’t very good.

Love Me Do is too low. I incorrectly thought the album version was Ringo, but now that I’ve been corrected I still enjoy it more. I think all the parts were recorded better for the album. Doesn’t have Paul’s shaky first vocal he loves to talk about, which is an upside.
Wait is a great song as well! Love the harmonies. Also think I Don’t Want To Spoil The Party is a bit low.
Doctor Robert is definitely low! No Revolver song should be so far down! I understand if it’s people’s least favorite on the album, but it’s still a really good song.
The rankings mostly make sense so far, though.

I’m not sure how I voted. Isn’t the album version the same as the single version? The Ringo version only appears on Past Masters .
