Yeah, some of those hanging chads COULD be for Girl.
Oh, wait, this vote was done electronically.
OK, then, who bribed AD40 and RN to manipulate the scores to keep Girl out of the top 10? Guess their bribe was better than mine.

Two more of my Top 10 Favorites go down in flames. Nobody wants to hold my hand and my Bulldog was neutered.
The upside is four of my Fav’s are in the top 25.

So many great songs – man the Beatles was fab.
Interesting to see Hey Jude here; I was wondering if it might be higher – it’s not one of my favourites as I have mentioned before so I’m okay with its position.

The interesting thing about the latest results is what they reveal about the top twenty positions. Some may considered this a spoiler, so it’s under the tab, but it’s nothing anyone looking at the results couldn’t work out for themselves.
That there are 25 songs and 20 positions reveals the potential for ties in the Top 20. There is a minimum of 1 tie to come, and a maximum of 5. Somewhere between 15 and 19 songs occupying the Top 20 positions are not involved in a tie.

The songs in this last batch certainly deserve to be in the Top 50 – except IMO “She Said, She Said” not that I have anything against SS,SS but many songs that didn’t crack the top 50 are more enjoyable and interesting to my ears.

As we enter the top 50 (really, the Beatle equivalent of any other band’s Top 10) it’s interesting to look at someone else’s Top 50:

[Corrected list]
Abbey Road Medley – Paul & John (+ George)°
A Day In The Life – John & Paul
Day Tripper – John & Paul
Dear Prudence – John
Eleanor Rigby – Paul
The End – Paul
Happiness Is A Warm Gun – John
A Hard Day’s Night – John (+ Paul)*
Help ! – John
Here Comes The Sun – George
I Am The Walrus – John
I Saw Her Standing There – Paul
In My Life – John
Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds – John
Norwegian Wood – John
Nowhere Man – John (+ Paul + George)^
Penny Lane – Paul
Rain – John
Revolution – John
Something – George
Strawberry Fields Forever – John
Ticket To Ride – John
Tomorrow Never Knows – John
Twist And Shout – John
While My Guitar Gently Weeps – George
Total (25 tracks)
Lead Vocals
John & Paul – 2
John – 16
Paul – 5 (+ 2)
George – 3 (+ 2)
° ‘Abbey Road Medley’ is predominately Paul and John on their respective tracks however George provides three part harmony on ‘Sun King ‘ hence the credit.
*’A Hard Day’s Night ‘ is a John lead vocal but Paul does also provides lead vocal for the bridge section.
^’Nowhere Man ‘ is a John lead vocal with the addition of three part harmonies from George and Paul.
Interesting that the tracks often said to be George and John’s best and most popular Beatles tracks remain (‘Across The Universe ‘ would be the one big absentee for John) yet many of Paul’s have gone by – ‘Yesterday ‘, ‘Hey Jude ‘, ‘Let It Be ‘, ‘The Long And Winding Road ‘, ‘We Can Work It Out ‘. I wonder if its more down to being overplayed.

Noted in the above post but isnt the ‘Abbey Road ‘ medley still to come? I thought it was one of the tracks listed.
[Note: Its now not noted in the above post as the post has been corrected to match the remaining 25 tracks but it was noted before the list was corrected.]

There is a mistake in @nzbeatlefan’s list, @meanmistermustard. Don’t Let Me Down is no longer in play. It is at =85th with a score of 283. The Abbey Road Medley is still in play.
