I trying not to take personally the hate displayed for one of my favorites: the Reprise. I’m sure it will end up being at least tied for #1.
I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

‘And Your Bird Can Sing ‘ I thought was quietly a people’s favourite and might have fared even better…….’If I Fell ‘ is one of my toppermost thought it might be higher…….But all these songs made a decent showing. Nice to see the love for ‘I should have known better’
Warming up nicely………Bulldog is still trotting along…..
I love If I Fell too–how can you not?

Very cool that these two songs received the same amount of points given their track listings on the album. @Ron Nasty , my anal retentive side appreciates your listing these two tracks in alphabetical order. The Beatles fanatic side of me sees a missed opportunity.
On a personal note, the remaining six of my Top 10 made it through this grouping unscathed.

I don’t hate it by any means, I think I gave it an 8/10 so I do quite like it…
But ahead of lots of classics like Let It Be , Get Back and All My Loving ? Hmmmm

Some of these results must surely come from people making comparisons instead of a definitive position. No Reply , I can understand, but Eight Days A Week is really weak and shouldn’t even have got out of the 100’s IMHO (I like the bassline but its not a very interesting song).

=063 (295) All My Loving – this should be higher
All You Need Is Love – One of my 10s, but not a top 10 – I had 17 10s and this ranked below 10th among them
Back In The USSR – I’m good with this here, maybe even higher
062 (297) Get Back [album version] – for some reason I’ve never been a big fan of this one (top 100)
=060 (298) Carry That Weight – One of my 9s (top 34s)
Golden Slumbers – another 9 – This is one of Paul’s best vocal performances, imo. From delicate to throaty and back.
=058 (299) Across The Universe [album version] – another 9
If I Fell – I’m good with this here, it’s a great song that I thought would be underrated
057 (300) Drive My Car – I only had it in the top 75 or so
=055 (301) And Your Bird Can Sing – I would rate this at least in the top 17 today (inexplicably I gave it a 6 in July)
Blackbird – I just can’t see why people like this so much – maybe my dad overplayed it when I was a kid…
=052 (302) Can’t Buy Me Love – In my top 80 or so, but not this high
I’m So Tired – I’m pleasantly surprised to see this so high
I’ve Just Seen A Face – my 2nd top 10 to bite the dust
=050 (303) I Should Have Known Better – another 9
We Can Work It Out – This is a great song, the line beginning “Life is very short” is one of my favorite lyrics anywhere
049 (304) With A Little Help From My Friends – alas, another top 10 gone – although if I ranked them today I would give it an 8, putting it only in my top 50 (but would quite possibly have still lost a 3rd top 10 in And Your Bird Can Sing , had I left my overanalyzing hat at home when I voted).
048 (306) I’m Only Sleeping – I’m also pleasantly surprised at this high rank
Zig has 6 of his top 10 left, I have 7 – anyone else want to enter a friendly competition to see who gets the most top 10s right? I’m not sure if winning is good (means you have good taste as agreed upon by the other 38) or bad (means you’re a conformist – but Zig, including Yer Blues in his top 10, is no conformist – it’s a great tune but obviously not in very many top 10s 😉 Winner gets a shiny red
At least Ringo cracked the top 50 with a 7.8 :/
I’m surprised by how few surprises the top 75 have held (and it makes sense that the higher we get, the less surprising the results will be – 47 songs sharing 30 of 84 remaining scores, and from my memory of previous results the 47 that are left are fairly predictable). Ties will make the actual rankings less precise than they could be. I wonder how close we’ll get to a unanimous 10 (390)? Will a single song claim the highest score?

Erm, I do not understand… there are 47 songs left, and so 47 remaining scores… where does the 84 come from?

The top score a song can get is 390.
390-306 = 84
Each of the remaining songs got somewhere between 307 and 390 points.
I think that is what Matt Busby means. Please correct me if I am wrong, @Matt Busby.

Sorry bad choice of words – I meant, see who most closely matches the consensus…not that it’s right or wrong. How about “…friendly competition to see who is the most average” 😉 (I tried to imply a non-judgementalness by saying that it’s not necessarily a good thing to match the group’s opinion).
Apparently my last post wasn’t exactly clear…
AG was right about the “84 remaining scores” – 30 of them are used, apparently, and 54 have no corresponding songs – which will not be a change from the previous amount of ties exactly, but…the results must spread out, or something.

Girl bows out gracefully. Bulldog follows her and rests at her side.
Then she goes into her dressing room and blows up and then cries her eyes out. Then, when she calms down and sobers up, she realizes that being #35 on the list of songs recorded by the best ever music group is pretty darn ok.
We get into the top 25 next. My heart is pounding a bit.
