Don’t know if “Freakout” is the right word but ‘Cry Baby Cry ‘ always spooked me a bit, don’t know if it’s the lyrics about “séances in the dark’ or what but there’s an eeriness to that one… The organ played throughout adds to the effect… Even the ‘Can You Take Me Back?’ outro seems a bit creepy to me, not so much the lyrics but the sound of Paul’s voice has a certain “trance-like” quality to it… Great buildup to ‘Revolution #9’… In fact, the entire ‘White Album ‘ trips me out and it’s not so surprising to me that some deranged individuals used this for a soundtrack to commit mass murder…:-)

@Billy Rhythm, either this post will spook you more or help you get un-spooked over these songs.

The first Beatles track I heard that really spooked me was Blue Jay Way . The start of the song, wow, amazing! Listen to it in a dark room at night hahaha.
Everytime I listen to A Day In The Life , and hear John’s vocal (I read the news today……) I get a shiver down my spine. The way he sang that, and the way George Martin managed to make it sound really echoy, well, just phenomenal.
I had the ‘wow, what the f did I just listen to’ feeling after listening to:
The whole Sgt Pepper album (I remember jumping the first time I heard the run out groove. Totally unexpected)
Eleanor Rigby (creepy in parts, love it!)
and of course
Oh, and also towards the end of While My Guitar Gently Weeps ,when George sounds like he’s moaning Paul’s name. That was creepy as hell
Still writing the words to the sermon that no one will hear......

One time I put the White Album on repeat before I went to bed, then I woke up totally freaking out because Revolution 9 had somehow worked it self into my dreams.
(Ooh that last part sounds so poetic)
