Funny you should say that, Tell Me What You See is second to last in my ranking of every Beatles song.

My favourite moment on Abbey Road , I think, is ‘Soon we’ll be away from here//Step on the gas and wipe that tear away”

Beatlebug, ThatWeirdBeatlesGirlI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

Ringo’s drum fills in the final seconds if “Thank You Girl ” are the high point of that unremarkable song

Agreed. I’m not a big fan of the song but the drums are great.

Thank You Girl is one of my favorite two part vocal lines. “And eternally, i’ll always be in love with you” is top notch songwriting. The high harmony puts a smile on my face every time. The rhythm of the melody is pretty unique for a pop song as well. It has a lot of freedom that Paul and John play around with together. Very good song. Just my two cents.

It’s fun listening to Ringo’s failed attempts to get the fills right in the outtakes.

He almost got it on take six. Takes 7-13 are repeated runs of the fadeout. Am I wrong the released version is take 6 with take 13 edited to the end? That’s what it sounds like to me. Either way he nails it FIRST TRY at the BBC with John and Paul hooting and hollering while the girls go CRAZY

The first line in the Let It Be Naked version of ‘Don’t Let Me Down ‘ where you can clearly hear the beautiful harmonies (in my opinion it’s better than the version that made it onto the Let It Be Album – is that a controversial opinion?)

I think it might be! People (like myself) get angered because it’s a mix of two takes, while some (myself again, and you) appreciate that harmonized intro.

More impossible than controversial. Released as the b-side of Get Back , it didn’t make it onto the Let It Be album. Though there was a storming version included on the aborted Get Back album. (“Give me the courage to come screaming in…”)

Oh yes my apologies! I meant to say better than the version that made the single (and onto the Blue Album ) – thanks for the correction! I still prefer the Naked version!

Easily done.
Not necessarily a “song” fragment but the chat between the end of Save the Last Dance for Me/Don’t Let Me Down and the beginning of Don’t Let Me Down , which made the aborted Get Back album, where Paul flubs it because he didn’t realise they were going for a take. (Video should start at the beginning of the chat… if not, you want about 97 seconds in…)

I had this lyric in mind when I left a particular job at a particular town about five years. What a glorious relief.
