“Then you’re in town” from Good Morning Good Morning . I love the riff that is played right then. You can also hear it in Fixing A Hole , Yer Blues , and The Doors’ Twentieth Century Fox.
Edit: It’s on Lady Madonna too, and I believe that I have posted this before.
Edit 2: Looking back, I have posted this before. I better add a second fragment! “Everybody had a hard year” from I’ve Got A Feeling .

Same riff in all five songs @owenladner? Are you sure?
“Forsan et haec olim meminisse juvabit” (“Perhaps one day it will be a pleasure to look back on even this”; Virgil, The Aeneid, Book 1, line 203, where Aeneas says this to his men after the shipwreck that put them on the shores of Africa)

Great post!
There only about ten thousand such bits, so I’ll just choose the very first one that came to mind: The opening guitar (John???) on “Things We Said Today .” Makes a very good song a great song and reveals how the Beatles were an amazing team.

The piano bits right after “Drive My Car “.
Young Blood – George’s second “Looka there”, John’s “Whath-yer-name” cracks me up.
Slow Down – “Baby, whacha tryin’ ta do” “Brbrbrbrbbrbrrrr!!!!” Then there’s that almost comically loud “AHHHHHHHH” where it kinda sounds like he could be stuck in some scary fast amusement park ride wanting it to slow down. Hah.
Baby It’s You – “Can’t help myself”
“I Want You (She’s So Heavy)” has several. I got to hear this performed live by More Popular Than Klaatu. Killer bass groove. That hi-hat (is that what it’s called?) right before the “She’s so…” just fits really well. The drum/bass/guitar bridge/interlude/whatever that bleeds Santana (2:25-3:17). John’s “Yeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhh”. Also the jamming at the end. Could go on forever. Love it.

I have a few videos I grabbed during their show last weekend of their show if you’re interested. ^^ Not sure if they do only Beatles stuff or not, but they were awesome.

They are a local band and this was their first, or one of their first shows, together. I posted links to the three videos I took, in the “In My Life ” thread, but I can post them here a bit later today since they might be a bit buried….haha
Update: Here ya go, @William Shears Campbell ^^

That little lick @ 1:06 in Octopus’s Garden gets me every time. I usually start singing along with the backing vocals, and then that completely distracts me.

The frustration that breaks through in ‘No Reply ‘ bridge….”If I were you, I’d realize that I….” then back to that soft latin beat, like he had quieted his emotions to finish the song…then that final foreboding chord. (Damn, they’re good!)

^ Very true. And speaking about how damn good and clever they were i just love how the first chord in All I’ve Got To Do it’s like the continuation of the last chord in It Won’t Be Long so you could play both songs without any break in between.
Also both songs are in the same key and use very similar chord progression and they sound quite different from each other.

I never noticed that before, but it’s so obvious now that you pointed it out. <— Was that redundant?
It’s reading tidbits like that that keep the music fresh for me. Reading others’ points of view or having something like that pointed out makes me go back and hear what they hear. Thanks!

For no particular reason at all, I absolutely love the part in “It’s All Too Much ” where George comes in and sings “with your long blonde hair and your eyes of blue.”
It comes out of nowhere, it’s related to nothing, it’s a beautifully descriptive line, and the melody is right on the border of “haunting” and “gorgeous.”
