The way George sings Glad All Over . Specifically the “honey bunny” and the choruses. He totally nailed it. I had to put it on repeat at least once today. It’s awesome throughout.

Living is easy with eyes closed
Misunderstanding all you see
On the drive back from @Expert Textpert’s home this evening, I really noticed the similarity of the fragments from Any Time At All and All I’ve Got To Do .
Any Time At All , all you’ve gotta do is call and I’ll be there
Whenever you want me at all
I’ll be here yes I will
Whenever you call
You just gotta call on me, yeah
You just gotta call on me

It practically makes the song for me!Not that I dislike the rest of it either.
Also, I really like John’s brbrbrbrbbrbbrbbrbbrrbrbrb in Slow Down . Always reminded me of Ed, Edd, and Eddy.

Finding a song fragment –one song fragment– that really grabs me is proving to be an impossible task; almost every Beatle song is a treasure of good melodies, key modulations, changes of chords, arrangements, and lyrics. However I would like to say I’ve always found the sudden silence and the bass line of I’m Only Sleeping particularly beautiful, fascinating even. The melody goes “I’m only sleeping…”, and suddenly the band stops playing and the effect is really… nocturnal, for lack of a better word; and the bass gives the song a certain… suspense. If you think about it, The Beatles never really used silence as well as in I’m Only Sleeping.

Haha, yes, the “plbbrbrbrbbrbrbrrr”. I don’t think I’ve heard him do that in any other song. =)

I just heard something for the first time just now when comparing the 1966 stereo and YSS mixes of Eleanor Rigby :
In the second ‘All the lonely people’ after the first verse, there’s an ever-so-slight rasp marring Paul’s otherwise perfectly smooth vocal.
YKYAHBFW… you think it’s brilliant!
