Which version is your favorite?

I like Revolution 1 . It is more…ummm, “creative” I guess than the other version.a-hard-days-night-john-1But I like the other version, too, of course. Very great song to sing in the car!a-hard-days-night-george-7

To me, it’s a great song, period. So either version is wonderful.

If forced to choose one, then I’d go for the louder version, which seems to fit the theme and the times a bit better.

The shoo bee do wahs seemed silly at first, but I kind of like it now… I still prefer the louder one. Like you said, it’s a great car song.

Ad hoc, ad loc, and quid pro quo! So little time! So much to know!

Both versions are excellent, but the single version played from vinyl is AWE-SOME.

I'd like to say "thank you" on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we passed the audition.

They’re both so different I find it hard to have a favourite. It depends on the situation, though I prefer the 11-minute mix of Revolution 1 to the album version.

I’m a fan of both versions due to their absolute differences. At the beginning when I first heard Ravolution 1, I thought, “wow, this is great! Much better!” Now that I’ve heard it quite a bit, the rhythm seems a bit too slow and the shoo be do wahs are a little monotonous.

Though! I do like John’s “Don’t you know that you can count me out… in,” in Revolution 1 , of course. a-hard-days-night-john-6

Tongue, lose thy light. Moon, take thy flight… see ya, George!

They are both quite good,…….. Pauls’ scream is my ringtone  …the video version with overdubs is kinda neat

I love ’em both but the B-side version is the best – loud and raucous! I love the semi-live version too – the fast version with the backing vocals of “Revolution 1 ” – although I’ve never managed to find a version with good sound quality.

I thought Paul had to scream because if John did it, it would be difficult for him to sing the first lyric.

In the Revolution video you can see Paul screaming just before John start singing. George has the red LesPaul.

I'd like to say "thank you" on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we passed the audition.

I’m pretty sure on the recording it was Lennon. The video had live vocals to fool the Musicians’ Union into thinking it wasn’t mimed. As Skye says, it was probably too hard for Lennon to scream and hit the first line, so McCartney did it. That’s my interpretation anyway.

I am sure it does! I have a yellow submarine ringtone. Everytime my phone goes off while I am shopping with my friends, people stop and ask me to send my ringtone to them! I am quite amused when a crowd of 50-60-year olds crowd around me asking for it!a-hard-days-night-john-6

It’s pretty natural that would happen if you love a band like this. Do you decline? politely?

I am not surprised by their reactions one bit. I would do the same thing if I heard such a song playing from a phone…a-hard-days-night-paul-8
