Beatles songs by George:

1) Something – A beautiful song, one of the best love songs I’ve heard

2) Here Comes The Sun – Such a cheerful song; it always inspires me (and brings back memories of singing it at the top of my lungs with my friends in the middle of a rainstorm)

3) Taxman – George’s first really good song (not that his previous ones weren’t good)

4) Piggies – Funny, yet it conveys an interesting (not sure how else to describe it) message

5) Think For Yourself – Makes me smile every time

6) Don’t Bother Me – Pretty amazing that his first song is as good as it is

7) While My Guitar Gently Weeps – So amazing

8) Savoy Truffle – No reason that can be put into words (well, maybe if I could if I had more time, and no, I’m not being lazy)

9) I Me Mine – Same as a-hard-days-night-ringo-8

10) If I Needed Someone – Same as a-hard-days-night-ringo-8

In his solo career:

1) When We Was Fab- I love how it sounds so Beatle-ish; I can even say, “Hey, this part sounds like *insert Beatles song title here*!” (yeah, I know the song is about the Beatles)

2) What Is Life – Just a great song.

3) Got My Mind Set on You- I know it’s not his song but his recording is pretty well known; anyway, a lot of people don’t like it but I think it’s a fun song

4) My Sweet Lord – I’m not very religious but I like it anyway

I don’t know any more of his solo songs (gasp!).

I heart a-hard-days-night-george-10 🙂

Also known as Egg-Rock, Egg-Roll, E-George, Eggy, Ravioli, Eggroll Eggrolli...

My absolute favorite song that George sang will always be “Do You Want To Know A Secret ?”  a-hard-days-night-george-10

"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been..  I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene..  Banjos!  Banjos!  All the time, I can't forget that tune..  and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

1 While My Guitar Gently Weeps – clapton’s guitar work rocks here along with a really well-written song

2 Here Comes The Sun – everybody loves Here Comes The Sun

3 I Want To Tell You -i absolutely love this opening riff as well as the subject

4 I Me Mine – great breakdown along with another great opening riff and subject

5 Savoy Truffle Savoy Truffle is awesome when it comes in right after Honey Pie , perfect combination of silly and genius here on par with paul and john

6 For You Blue – its a 12 bar blues. great slide guitar too

7 something- classic love song inspired by james taylor and pattie boyd

8 i need you -love this song and the scene from the movie

9 long long long- very quiet but also very psychedelic and meaningful

10 Within You Without You – a beautiful poem and represents george well on Sgt Pepper

11 If I Needed Someone – good harmonies and tune

12 Love You To -“make love all day long, make love singing songs”

13 Piggies – another silly White Album song with really great intrumentation

14 Blue Jay Way -stays on a c the whole time… very ominous and cool

15 Old Brown Shoe – classy song in the home stretch of the beatles

16 taxman- gotta respect taxman for its psychedelia and how it opens the best album ever

17 Only A Northern Song – this is his most clever song. i love the juxtaposition of the genius song structure and the sarcastic lyrics

18 The Inner Light – beautiful song with its mind blowing poetry and indian instrumentation

19 You Like Me Too Much – a good upbeat song and one of his earlier compositions

20 Think For Yourself -badass song with difficult harmonies that don’t quite work as well as i wish they did

21 I’m Happy Just To Dance With You – another good song by george harrison

22 its all too much- very cool scene in yellow submarine

23 dont bother me- his first song, which he dismissed but is pretty good

not counting All Things Must Pass /sour milk sea/not guilty although all three are great songs
