Special post!! I’ve made my overall list right through to the worst song. I’m gonna post the lowest performing song from each album here;
Please Please Me – #206 – A Taste Of Honey
With the Beatles – #202 – Little Child
A Hard Day’s Night – #163 – And I Love Her
Beatles For Sale – #197 – Mr. Moonlight
Help ! – #180 – Act Naturally
Rubber Soul – #181 – What Goes On
Revolver – #175 – Yellow Submarine
Sgt. Pepper ‘s – #190 – When I’m Sixty-Four
Magical Mystery Four – #199 – Your Mother Should Know
The White Album – #209 – Good Night
Yellow Submarine – #183 – All Together Now
Abbey Road – #201 – Her Majesty (if you don’t count that then #158 – Sun King )
Let It Be – #205 – Dig It (lowest proper song is #186 – The Long And Winding Road )
Past Masters Vol 1 – #200 – Matchbox
Past Masters Vol 2 – #196 – You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)
Rather than pick any of my own ‘worst of list’………..I’ll use this one thoughtfully provided in NZ’s excellent review to pose the question.
If the Beatles’ entire output had been just these songs…..Would they even so, still have had a memorable hit LP on their hands?
I’m voting that they would………And that, Ladies and Gentlemen is just how great they were!!!!
