Hello fellow Beatles fans!
My fiance once heard an alternate version of “I Should Have Known Better ” which was slower, with just guitar and possibly only John Lennon . She really wants this song for our First Dance at our wedding and I’ve scoured the internet as best I can to find this for her! We even listened to it once on Youtube, but it no longer shows up in our searches there either. If we can get any help that would point us in the right direction, we would be extremely grateful, she’s pretty adamant that this is THE song.
As we can recall, the version she heard was either just a cappella, or just voice and guitar. It’s not the same tempo as the official version and is a more contemplative rendition of the song, as if John or Paul was playing this on guitar in his studio by himself. I’m pretty sure it’s John on the recording as he sings this song, but for all I know, it could have been Paul.
Thank you so much, we look forward to your help!
Best,
Raymond

There are no alternate versions of ‘I Should Have Known Better ‘* aside from a couple of BBC recording session outtakes and the actual aired performance.
There is a demo of ‘If I Fell ‘ that fits the bill, not that the quality is very good or was it recorded in the studio?
*I forget that there are very short excerpts of studio outtakes but these are 16 seconds or so long.

Here’s a list of cover versions in case someone is mistaken about it being a genuine Beatles recording.
I'm Necko. I'm like Ringo except I wear necklaces.
I'm also ewe2 on weekends.
