Yes, “when I hold you in my arms and I feel my finger on your trigger…” etc. I’ve always taken it *there*. I feel like it’s his sexual feelings for Yoko. But then I think the heroin connotations fit too… needing a fix, etc. And the descriptions of the feelings (touch of the velvet hand like a lizard on a windowpane) match those one gets on a heroin “high”.

A lot of the song is “applicable”. For instance the man in the crowd with the multicoloured mirrors on his hobnail boots, lying with his eyes while his hands are busy working overtime could just be about a pickpocket but I’m gonna go with upskirting self-pleasurer. And after going down, Mother Superior is going to have to do some gun-jumping, bang bang shoot shoot. They’re filthmongers!

Now I'm a confused bassist ukulele guitar synthesizer kazoo penguin everyone who is definitely not @Joe.  This has been true for 2016 & 2017 Sig-Badge.png but I may have to get more specific in the future.

I forgot how, erm, raunchy New is:

  • ‘Save Us’ — I think I can guess what the ‘jungle rhythm’ beating in you is, Paul. a-hard-days-night-paul-10
  • ‘On My Way To Work’ has the line about the girl who removed her clothes.
  • ‘Hosanna’, the spend-a-night-with-me bit.
  • ‘I Can Bet’ — the whole song. I try not to get into imagery when I listen to it — a-hard-days-night-paul-3

Whew! a-hard-days-night-paul-7

Edit: Ach, I forgot about ‘Road’ — the whole song there, too! a-hard-days-night-paul-10

Since I’ve got nothing better to do, I thought I’d make a list of some sexual things that I’ve noticed in Beatles songs and doing it in the appropriate thread, albeit in spoilers because this isn’t the most appropriate thing to be talking about but since the mods don’t seem to have a problem with this thread, here we go:

A Hard Day’s Night , the song sounds like it’s talking about sex without flat out saying it, especially with lines like “when I get home to you I find the things that you do will make me feel alright”

The original title of Yesterday is Scrambled Eggs and the lyrics start out with “scrambled eggs, baby how I love your legs”. At first, it doesn’t seem that sexual but I can only imagine the later verses if they didn’t change the lyrics around, I can imagine Paul singing something like “cup of tea, baby you have a nice tushy” for the 3rd verse. Here’s some theorized lyrics based off what Paul was originally thinking of the song to be, it’s a mixture of Jimmy Fallon’s take and some speculation based off what body parts men like about women as well as what I’d expect Paul to be thinking about. Sadly, I can’t put spoilers in spoilers though.

Scrambled eggs
Oh my baby how I love your legs
In that short dress they’re really great
Oh it goes nice with scrambled eggs

Waffle fries
Oh my darling how I love your thighs
I think about them all the time
Oh how I love your juicy thighs

My love
You’re so nice that I’m surprised you’ve chosen me
Oh Jane
I hope you do not go and run away

Cup of tea
Baby you have a large tushy
I stare at it while I grab a cup of tea
Oh you have a soft tushy

Would you
Care for a cup of tea, I like it sweet
Oh Jane
You have nice buttocks that are nice to feel

Bouncing breasts
Oh my baby how yours looks the best
I bet Penthouse wouldn’t dare fret
To take some pics of those big breasts

I’m hungry for scrambled eggs

George Martin: Paul, those are some real sexual and inappropriate lyrics, you can’t talk about stuff touching your girlfriend’s buttocks are on a pop song.

Paul: Eh, they’ll probably be talking about that stuff in pop songs 50 years from now. Also, I’m not using these lyrics, they’re just some lyrics I thought up on the fly.

George Martin: You better not, I heard The Rolling Stones need a new record producer.

The tit-tit-tit backing vocals in Girl imply that while the girl is nagging, the man is staring at her breasts.

The end of Lovely Rita sounds like Paul is having sex with Rita with Good Morning Good Morning being him waking up after that night, which is also how you can connect those 2 songs together, you can hear the moaning at the end of the song.

I Am The Walrus says the line Crabalocker fishwife, pornographic priestess, boy you’ve been a naughty girl, you’ve let your knickers down. At first, I thought he said n*****s because we don’t use regularly use the word knickers in the US but this line implies that the priestess did some sexual act, whether it be sexual intercourse or pornography.

Hey Jude says the minute you let her under your skin then you’ll begin to make it better, letting a girl under your skin reminds me of sex. I doubt The Beatles were thinking this though because Julian was 5 at the time and The Beatles aren’t pedophiles.

Happiness Is A Warm Gun with the line when I put my finger on your trigger.

Why Don’t We Do It In The Road sounds very sexual and although it never specifically mentions sex, Paul wrote the song after seeing monkeys engage in sexual activities. No wonder the other Beatles didn’t want to play on this song, John was probably like “you didn’t want to be on Two Virgins but you’re recording this” and George was probably like “is this about Jane, Francie, Linda, Gayleen, Lizzie, or someone else” while Ringo was like “sounds funny, I think I’ll stay here and watch”.

Sexy Sadie definitely brings on a sexual tone, especially with lines like she came along and turned on everyone.

Yoko saying you become naked in Revolution 9 .

If you think about it, Maxwell’s Silver Hammer sounds like it could be about a rapist with the hammer being Max’s penis but I know this isn’t the case.

Although the song itself isn’t sexual, I get the feeling that Paul had sex with Gayleen and Lizzie after they record their backing vocals, seems unlikely though.

Finally, there’s the wet dream line from I’ve Got A Feeling .

Hope this isn’t offensive. Since the thread is called Naughty Bits: Age warning for minors!! I decided to put this up, I wouldn’t post this anywhere else. Hope you enjoy this post and find it as interesting and funny instead of inappropriate and gross.

Your post is fine, @Dark Overlord. This is the right thread! Actually, this would probably be the first thread a Beatle would read if one came on the forum.ahdn_paul_02

Phew, that’s nice to hear because I know there’s been times where I’ve made posts regarding iffy topics that people were a little iffy about.

Your comment on Why Don’t We Do It In The Road; I thought John liked the song and wished Paul had let him participate.

It seems weird that Paul would refuse to let John participate on a song but then again John does seem to be more sexual than then the other Beatles so maybe so.

John was irked that Paul omitted him from ‘WDWDITTR’, Ringo played the drums so is on the record.

Why wouldn’t Paul let John play if he let Ringo play.

This part from With A Little Help From My Friends always struck me as a bit naughty…

Beatles: What do you see when you turn out the light?

Ringo: I can’t tell you, but I know it’s mine.

I think George and John were off working on ‘Revolution #9′ so Paul went and recorded ‘WDWDITTR’, probably found Ringo practising his chess skills.

It wasn’t like John asked and Paul said no, he just went ahead with recordig the song without telling John.

I get high With A Little Help From My Friends .

I always thought that that John and George were working in different rooms and Paul and Ringo went off and recorded Why Don’t We Do It In The Road? and then John heard the song and wished he had of participated.

I’m sure if John and George weren’t already busy then they would have been included plus the band weren’t exactly in the best spirits at that point.

And in the end the lunch you take is equal to the lunch you bake.

That’s wrong. ”Revolution #9” was recorded months earlier. No idea what John was doing, possibly overseeing the stereo mix of ‘Bungalow Bill’, and presumably George was about as Paul recorded a backing vocal for ‘Long Long Long’ and Chris Thomas overdubbed piano.

Actually, on 10 October 1968, the day where they did the bass, drums, and electric guitar for Why Don’t We Do It In The Road, John and George were overseeing the orchestra for Glass Onion and Piggies .

Also, when you think about it, Eight Days A Week could mean that John engages in sexual intercourse with Cynthia eight times a week.

If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

I was referring to the 9th.

Making a post in this thread to see if it will straighten out the numbering. Right now the thread starts with post 15.

Background for those who haven’t been here that long: Several years ago, we noticed a glitch that made a thread start with a random post from somewhere in the thread. Making a new post in the thread righted the ship and put the posts in the correct order.

EDIT: yay, it worked.
