I’ve always heard the famous Na-na-na-na in the Hey Jude fadeout as Da-da-da-da. Does that count as a lyric?
Definitely counts. Could be a rewrite dedicated to all the fathers out there.
@seabelt, I just looked it up, and Buffett really did do a Christmas album. I’ll have to give it a listen this December.

Kinda reverses the meaning of the lyric, though, maybe, when one considers that “nah” is slang meaning “No”; while “da” is Russian for “Yes”
For many years, until the 2000s, I assumed (without listening carefully) George was singing: “Little darling/It’s been a long cold Northern winter”, because that was a personally relatable concept, having lived through many a long cold Northern Ontario winter myself; and also because the combination of George and the misheard word itself were already kinda related in my mind, thanks to “Only A Northern Song “.
…And how timely to be speaking of Northern Ontario winters, since we received our first snowfall last night

Not a Beatles song, but I always heard the lyrics of Wings’ Big Barn Bed as “Big Barn, sleeping in a Big Barn Bed” instead of “Keep on sleeping in a Big Barn Bed”.
I choose to believe that my own version is what Paul sings though, because I think it’s way cooler.

I, for one, fall victim to hearing “clong” instead of “come on” during Twist And Shout . There are just so many “come on”s right after one another, it’s hard to keep up!

Like John recalled about that performance, “you can tell I’m just a desperate guy, trying to hang on!”

It’s funny, by the way, that Paul in Russian means “floor”
It can also mean “gender” and “half”

Today I found out that in Piggies , George sings “Clutching forks and knives”.
I always heard “Clutching for tonight”.

“clutching forks and knifes to eat there bacon” I never really took seriously as a line because of how silly and playful it sounds, but its really one of the most searing lines in the whole Beatles catalogue. It comments on how humans will tear each other apart to gain the upper hand in society, especially those at the helm looking to squeeze every cent of profit out of those beneath them.

Indeed, Piggies is as relevant as ever. The big pigs live well while everyone else struggles. It’s a very political statement but I think it somehow goes under the radar.
