In “Drive My Car ” when the lyrics are “I wanna be famous. a star on the screen” I always thought it was “I wanna be famous, I started to scream”, when I first saw the official lyrics I was like

I just played Beatles Rock Band and at the end you don’t have to say that stuff but in the lyrics on the bottom it says what I thought it said. But you can never know who is right in this twisted world.

In I Want To Hold Your Hand I still say that the lyric is I Get High. I have never heard it as I Can’t Hide, which is a stupid lyric. And what would it have to do with them supposedly not having been introduced to marijuana. Like you cannot be high on a girl?

Same here. Just fits better to me. I suppose it was supposedly more innocent times back them – maybe the BBC would have banned it and there would have been protests.

Well, they’d taken other drugs before they wrote the song, and yeah they could’ve also meant high on love or alcohol.
Nevertheless, the Bob Dylan story has been pretty well-established.

Oh really? I’ve always thought I was right thinking it was something with ”star” in Drive My Car . I never even thought about looking up the lyrics xD
I can’t make out half of what they’re singing though.

which made realise that there was more than one innuendo in the song [Drive My Car ]. I Want To Hold Your Hand pretty much sounds the same to me [I can’t hide], though I might on loudspeakers.

Offline I used to hear “I’ve got arms that long to hold you” in From Me To You as “I’ve got all night long to hold you,” but then I realized that it couldn’t be “night,” so I thought it was “I’ve got all good long to hold you,” which makes no sense. I figured out the real words much later.
