In 1970, McCartney had this line in Maybe I’m Amazed
maybe I’m amazed at the way you…right me when I’m wrong
Then in 2013 in the song Alligator, he revisits this theme of needing his love to try to keep him on the straight and narrow.

Dealing with a sinner
Whenever I get in a fix
