At the very least, he now knows we are slacking off, playing games.

Did he think we actually did anything of note?

Looks like the quiz was “retracted by the creator.”
Why do you say that?

Not too shabby for someone who heard her first Beatles song about 3 years ago.
I don’t believe it. You lived almost half a century without EVER hearing a Beatles song? You’ve heard their music before three years ago – you just didn’t know who it was at the time.

Maybe she was raised in a staunch Christian family and wasn’t allowed to listen to “un-holy” music.

Anybody who no longer lives with their parents is free to listen to whatever they want.
Maybe you’re right and Ahhh Girl was still under the rulings of her strict Christian parents past the age of forty, but I really find it unlikely.

Or another possiblity: sometimes you just have never heard of the Beatles because you were raised like that and didn’t happen to catch them on the radio or elsewhere.

Ultra conservative church until my late 20s. When I did start “straying”, I only listened to country radio. No Beatles there. Read my bio for the rest of the story.
Thank you, Evangeline, for understanding.

It is about shaking off the shackles of your upbringing, as I know @Ahhh Girl will agree.
I shared a video with her about the late great American comedian Bill Hicks, and during it his sister commented, something like, “People think we were brought up as Evangelical Christians, but no, we were brought up as Southern Baptists – and that’s much worse.”
That was something she could identify with.
As many here know, this time last year I was accompanying AG on her trip around the UK.
On her second day here we visited Runnymede, the place where the Magna Carta was signed, and also has a monument to JFK which is actually American soil (the site was gifted to the US within weeks of Kennedy’s assassination). In the little café there she was trying to decide on a drink, remembering she’d mentioned that she likes ginger beer, I picked up a bottle of ginger beer and handed it to her. She looked at it and said she couldn’t because it was alcoholic.
I looked at her in surprise, knowing it wasn’t, and asked what she meant.
She pointed to the word “fermented” and said that meant it was alcoholic. So I had to explain fermentation to her, and that it didn’t always create alcohol. And that there was the chemical concoction that calls itself Ginger Beer, and naturally brewed Ginger Beer – both of which are non-alcoholic, but only one of which is really Ginger Beer.
Worldly and as knowledgeable as AG is, there are still some very big blanks.
I don’t doubt she had heard Beatles music before three years ago, as things playing in shops and lifts etc., but there is a difference between things being a part of a daily audio soundscape and actually listening to it.
When John was murdered, I heard lots of songs that day that I’d loved and listened to but didn’t know who they by. When AG was reluctantly taken to a Paul McCartney concert, music stopped being something she heard – like passing traffic, but something she started to actively listen to.
I do hope I haven’t said anything wrong here, AG. If I have, feel free to delete.

You’re exactly right, RN. There are a lot of things I don’t know about. And some things I still find hard to discuss. I had one email conversation with Joe that I never thought I’d ever have with anyone. I still don’t know if I could have a conversation like that face-to-face with him or anyone.
Enough about me. No one wants to take an AG quiz.
