The first one that comes into my head is ‘A Day In The Life ‘. A classic, I think it deserves to be a single.
Moving along in our God given ways, safety is sat by the fire/Sanctuary from these feverish smiles, left with a mark on the door.

There may be a thread on this already, but if not, it’s a good one:
(Note: some songs were released as singles in one part of the world but not another)
All My Loving
[Nowhere Man ]
While My Guitar ….
With A Little Help …
Across The Universe (actually, no; great song, but would not have been a great single)
I don’t think A Day In The Life would have been successful as a single.
"Into the Sky with Diamonds" (the Beatles and the Race to the Moon – a history)

Agree with ITSWD that ADITL wouldnt have been and there is a thread which is very similar: ‘What album songs or B-sides would have been hits if released as a single?‘

He would know – after all, he started that thread last year!
I am locking this thread in favor of the one we already have. It is still a great topic, Wildcat.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.
