Offline In honor of this being song of the day I’ve decided to revive this thread.
I love this song. I think it’s my favorite cover on Beatles For Sale (though Rock And Roll Music makes a compelling counterargument)
Paul’s vocals are killer on this (and y’all know how much I love Paul 
)
I didn’t realize they recorded this in only one take so that’s pretty cool

This is such a great song. Paul’s vocals are absolutely killer. It’s tough to beat his Little Richard voice.
Definitely not the best cover on Beatles For Sale , but a damn good one.

Rock And Roll Music – great Lennon vocal and fantastic rock’n’roll piano from George Martin, while the worst is Words Of Love (though I do love it) because it sounds too much like the original and doesn’t really have their stamp of originality on it.

Offline Very interesting to hear, but not as good as the version on the record! Paul sounds a lot more confident and loud in the BfS version, but that’s probably because it’s not in the middle of a 2 hour set.
