I always forget this song is on Help , then I listen to the album and this song comes on and I’m all like “that’s right this song exists” and its always such a sweet surprise.

To be honest I don’t like this song all that much. Not bad, but I’m indifferent.

Actually, the proper name for flip flops are thong sandals so maybe Beatlebug’s autocorrect app was thinking about the sound flip flops make when you walk in them.
Anyways, i’ve heard Paul used an electric guitar during the intro. Is that true?

Doesn’t sound very electric to me, but I suppose that higher part could be.
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I’m pretty sure it was just a typo, and also, I’d be very concerned if my auto correct was doing that much abstract thinking.
Doesn’t sound like electric guitar at all.

Myself, I don’t it’s autocorrect, just I being alongside O on every keyboard layout I’ve seen, making it an easy finger slip…

Ahh lads, no song has the right to be this cute.
Oh my goodness I was just about to comment about that! But I guess ASJ beat me to it in September….

Lads, why is this song such a banger? It’s battling with Norwegian Wood for my favourite Beatles tune. Such a cracker!
Makes me so happy every time I hear it, it’s so cute.
I really really love this song a lot. It’s definitely up there in my favorite Beatles songs! It really makes my day…
It’s also my favorite Beatles tune to play on my guitar!

I think it’s taken me some time to admit to myself how much I love this song. Ditto to everyone’s sentiments–such a lovely little tune.

This (possibly along with ‘All Together Now ‘) is the most fun and enjoyable opening to any Beatles song and it’s so damn happy and joyous throughout the song, which matches the theme and lyrics. It’s slightly over two minutes long and they completely fly by before you can really get to grips with just how good it is. Even if you think ‘Help !’ is made up of largely filler, surely you hit this and you’re captured.
‘IJSAF’ also has one of the funniest moments in all Beatles. For some reason, out of nowhere, Paul double-tracks the very last “met” in the song along with the “hmm’s”. You need to listen in headphones but it’s clearly there and always has me laughing at how daft it is. He was clearly having fun.
Throw in that this, ‘Yesterday ‘ and ‘I’m Down ‘ were recorded on the same day! No bearing on the song itself but it’s incredible three vastly different songs were done by the same singer on the same day, madness. All three are brilliant and ‘Yesterday ‘ is viewed as one of the greatest songs ever.
