Free As A Bird and Real Love were assembled from old John demos, but hypothetically, if john had written them and the band recorded them in within the band’s lifespan, which album would they fit best on? I would go with Abbey Road .

I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

I said something similar to this in another thread, but I think Free As A Bird and Real Love would go well on either Rubber Soul or Revolver .

If we’re talking Anthology songs as in songs like If You’ve Got Trouble and What’s The New Mary Jane , they’d most likely go with the album of which it’s sessions housed the recording of the take which appears on the record which is what The Beatles did with the exception of Wait and Across The Universe .
However, if we’re talking Free As A Bird and Real Love then to be honest with you, they wouldn’t fit on any Beatles album because they weren’t recorded, written, or even thought of until after The Beatles breakup in 1970. However, I do think those 2 songs would do ok on Double Fantasy .

The mods will always find DO’s posts, @The Hole Got Fixed, and he understands the reasons, while not necessarily happy. Be assured that they are not ignoring them, and will clear them as quickly as possible.

Ah, thank you for explaining that. For some reason, I thought that it was hard for the mods to find any ‘to be moderated’ posts.
I think that Free As A Bird would go well on the White Album , and that Real Love would be cool on Abbey Road .

I personally don’t think Free As A Bird or Real Love would have fit on any of the albums from the sixties.
