The Beatles Date Book Album should be released by Apple one cd of love songs to woo and treasure her/him with, the other for if it goes wrong – every scenario covered.
Troubled Waters: You Wont See Me, We Can Work It Out .
Possible unfaithfulness/former lover: All My Loving , Baby’s In Black , No Reply , What Goes On .
Breakup: I’ll Follow The Sun , I Need You , I’m A Loser .
Entering back into the dating scene: Yes It Is , I’ll Cry Instead .
Threating maniac: No Reply , You Cant Do That.
Psycho stalker: Run For Your Life , Norwegian Wood .
Maybe pretty tenuous but hey it would sell and that’s all that matters. We’ll throw in the long I’ll Cry Instead edit so some folks feel they have to get an otherwise un-owned track.

I can’t believe no one came up with ”I will” before.@Funny Paper Wow that’s romantic, didn’t think you were that type. Not that I know you of course, but just judging from your behaviour on here. Not that you aren’t nice. Oh whatever. You get the point.
Thanks, Linde. Yeah, the Internet’s like that — it tends to “skew” what a person is fully like. (But then, even being with a person for a long time is no guarantee that you “really” know them…)

Great, especially love the names of those categories, but I think I’d switch No Reply with Run For Your Life .

Yeah I think your right Linde. Therefore im taking my lead from Apple who like to invoke opinions which is also why also some songs are ignored (eg Think For Yourself ) and All My Loving is included). Since there are only 15 tracks on it add I’ll Be On My Way as some folks might not have Live At The BBC (in the spirit of the 2012 compilation Tomorrow Never Knows with Ive Got A Feeling form LIBN and the Anthology remix of The End ).
Note to Apple
There should be a exclusive limited edition box set (ie damn well expensive) with a booklet formed (read copied and pasted) from the 2009 remaster notes, love heart shaped replica photos to send to a loved one that can be split into two (helps bump up the price a bit), and a 7″ single with For No One and Don’t Bother Me (to make folk buy this Don’t Bother Me will be the remastered Canadian 1976 stereo mix). And just for the sake of it why not have an “accidental” pressing error in the factory and put on the wrong mix of DBM just to eek out an extra wad of cash from collectors.
This should be released worldwide on 11th February 2014 (12th February 2014 in the US) to tie in with Valentines Day and the 50th anniversary of the US visit, meaning there is no need to spend time putting anything decent together to commemorate that (something you don’t like doing anyway).
A quick addition: the 2 cd release will be download only with the box set the only way for a hard copy (some fans don’t like downloads so therefore will have to buy the box).

You Won’t See Me is a perfect song, it goes quite high though when Paul says “knew what i was missing!” in the bridge, might have to go into falsetto for that one. What Goes On might be a good one too. I’ll Cry Instead would be awesome, even though I’m not in that situation. If something goes wrong You Can’t Do That or Run For Your Life is a good backup!

“You Won’t See Me is a perfect song, it goes quite high though when Paul says “knew what i was missing!” in the bridge, might have to go into falsetto for that one.”
Maybe this should be a topic in its own right (God knows I’ve created topics here of flimsier beginnings), but I’ve found that Paul’s voice is remarkable for its power in the high range of notes. For example, when I try to sing along to “Hello, Goodbye “, I find it impossible to match his notes except by tending to sound falsetto — yet his voice is rich and strong executing those high notes.

“Penny Lane ” of course would be another good example.

Yeah true, but his voice is already quite high itself, isn’t it? It always sounds as if he has more trouble reaching lower notes than reaching the higher notes. Very remarkable!
I don’t get a sense he has trouble with lower notes. He does tend to affect an “Elvis” vocalism when he reaches down, but that could be just stylistic. However, he’s not able to go as low as James Taylor, who startlingly can sound like a bass singer at odd (and rare) moments.

Remarkably when Paul talks normally you could imply that he would have a “low” singing voice.

Have you ever heard Don Henley talk? He sounds like Don Cornelius when he talks, then you hear him sing and it’s almost disorienting.

i would love it if someone sang I’m Happy Just To Dance With You or Do You Want To Know A Secret to me (like i’ve said before i’m really a george girl and also, in reference to what was said earlier, i don’t know about other girls but i like it when i’m called chick, or anything like that, you can call me dude or whatever, the one i can’t stand is woman, i hate being called a woman
but don’t listen to me, i swear if i was in charge of anything important i would send the feminist movement or female rights stuff back a hundred years (and actually, no offence to anyone but, i really don’t care for feminists)sorry if anyone hates me now

Actually quite refreshing! I have this friend who’s a real “evolved” male who is constantly lecturing that females should be called “women” and not “girls” etc. I find his high horse highly annoying…

A ”girl” is a young person, a ”woman” is an older person. I suppose the reason it might annoy her is because she’s not, say, under 18. If she isn’t, then I can kind of see why she doesn’t like it. Would a 30 year old male like to be called a boy? Probably not. It’s just the same.

Right now I’m loving In Spite Of All The Danger , a beautiful fragile song – amazing that they could write such exquisite songs so young. It makes it harder to understand why Love Me Do was their first single when they had riches like this up their sleeve. By the way on Youtube there are several terrific performances by Paul of this song, as well as one by an American pair called Ted Rosedale and Rachel Barash. Quite beautiful. Does anyone else think this is an exquisite song?
