Okay… so there is this girl I like, and she likes the Beatles as well as me, I have an acoustic and an electric guitar, and also a piano. What would be some good song(s) ideas to get my point across (if u know what I mean ) Thanks. Other info: Her fav album is A Hard Day’s Night , but she also likes Rubber Soul , but she pretty much knows every Beatles song.

There are so many choices that it’s hard to choose just one.
I can, however, give you some advice – I’ve been married 29 years – don’t refer to her as a ‘chick’. Unless of course she asked you to.

Woman works even better.
Not to be too literal, but I wouldn’t recommend If I Fell because, romantic as it is musically, lyrically sounds like you’re still hung up one someone else.

If her favourite albums’ AHDN , you need look no further than And I Love Her . Or you could do something jokey like Her Majesty or Martha My Dear . Or Ain’t She Sweet , like John used to play to Cyn in art college.

And I Love Her is an excellent choice, Her Majesty is just too short. And her name isn’t Martha, and I’m pretty sure McCartney wrote that one for his dog, but I like the comedy!

And I Love Her is great, if you want to do something off A Hard Day’s Night per se. I agree on If I Fell not really being the best choice. It kind of sounds like ”Hey I like you but I’m still sad about my girlfriend before and you’re actually more like a rebound kthxbai”
Or you could always go with the obvious ”Something ”. But And I Love Her is probably a better choice since AHDN is her fav album.

On that theme keep it simply and do I Want You making sure you leave out the She’s So Heavy sections in case its taken wrong. If it goes wrong you have Run For Your Life as follow up.

He did, but I’d still like it if someone sang that for me. It’d be cool if you learnt the piano part.
Or what about I Want To Hold Your Hand ?

Who knows how long I’ve loved you
You know I love you still
Will I wait a lonely lifetime?
If you want me to, I willFor if I ever saw you
I didn’t catch your name
But it never really mattered
I will always feel the sameLove you forever and forever
Love you with all my heart
Love you whenever we’re together
Love you when we’re apartAnd when at last I find you
Your song will fill the air
Sing it loud so I can hear you
Make it easy to be near you
For the things you do endear you to me
Oh, you know, I will
I will

One summer night back in the mists of time, I serenaded a girl, sitting across from her in a rowboat we’d rented, floating in the calm waters of a bay under the starlight. I sang James Taylor’s “Secret O’ Life” to her. She was impressed, but she still didn’t want to be with me.
Secret O’ Life
The secret of life is enjoying the passage of time:
any fool can do it; there ain’t nothing to it.
Nobody knows how we got to
the top of the hill.
But since we’re on our way down,
we might as well enjoy the ride…
The secret of love is in opening up your heart.
It’s okay to feel afraid; but don’t let that stand in your way.
‘Cause anyone knows that love is the only road.
And since we’re only here for a while,
might as well show some style,
give us a smile…
Isn’t it a lovely ride? Sliding down, gliding down:
try not to try too hard, it’s just a lovely ride.
Faded flowers, wait in a jar, till the evening is complete... complete... complete... complete...

I can’t believe no one came up with ”I will” before.
@Funny Paper Wow that’s romantic, didn’t think you were that type. Not that I know you of course, but just judging from your behaviour on here. Not that you aren’t nice. Oh whatever. You get the point.
Oh and I love all the jokey suggestions. Made me laugh out loud.
But seriously, if a guy sang I will, Something or And I Love Her for me, I’d melt into a puddle and would never let him go. The only song a guy once sang for me was ”I don’t want to set the world on fire” by the Ink Spots. Or something like that. Supercute though.
