I want to create a playlist to have all my Beatles Stereo Box Set songs in chronological order. Example, in my current playlist, Strawberry Fields Forever and Penny Lane are before Sgt. Pepper . But I haven’t had time to do it with all Past Masters .
I have checked the Beatles Bible and some other websites, and so far I haven’t found a list that tells me how to do this. If there’s none, I can do it and post it here.
(Why do I want to do this? Blame it to the Red and Blue Album . I used to listen to them that much, that I know the order by heart and it’s weird to go from Abbey Road to Love Me Do . Man, I really sound like a very very picky Beatle fan)

Bop. Bop, cat bop. Go, Johnny, Go.

Do you mean chronological release order, or chronological recording order?
I’m sure we could do it here, if such a list doesn’t exist elsewhere. Let us know what you’re after and we can all help out.

I have a list of both in excel format.
I would suggest NOT listening in cronilogical order of recording though. It’s nice up until Pepper.
Let me know how to get this list to you Joe so you can upload it. (I just checked and I have the order of release. The order of recording I’ll have to look for)

You can email joe at beatlesbible.com, but it would be more helpful if you’re able to paste the data into a reply here – I probably wouldn’t turn it into a page on the site.

I think I’ll like to have cronological order of recording until Pepper.. later release…
Man, I’ll be making a list that won’t make sense. I’m emailing you and post my list in here, just in case someone wants it.
Thank you all!!!

Thanks to c64wood, here’s the chronological list by release date.

And here’s the list of songs ordered by the date recording began (dates are in US formatting). Thanks again, c64wood!
Some of these may not be entirely accurate, eg You Know My Name was begun in 1967, and Sgt Pepper /Reprise weren’t recorded on the same day. If anyone has any amendments I can update the list.

Here’s a list of EVERYTHING (almost) sorted by recorded date (but the sort order can be changed to release date, or alphabetical, or whatever). Unofficial listings can also be filtered out if desired too. http://www.mybeatlescollection…..tracks.php
Bringing you the best and worst of The Beatles, since 2007.

OK this is my playlist now.

What I did, was to create folders to put there the singles, and I ordered all the folders from 1 to 25. Things that I changed to fit my taste..
1. Love Me Do is the first single, but now it sounds weird not starting with “one, two, three, fawwww” so I decided to delete that single and listening to it in PPM LP.
2. I didn’t remove the singles from the albums, example, I just copied Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane before Sgt Pepper , meaning that I have those songs twice. But it’s Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane so no big deal.
3. I deleted the original music from Yellow Submarine in the playlist. I love it. It’s just that… it doesn’t fit with the rest of the music.
4. I decided to put Abbey Road at the end, so I have the singles Get Back , Don’t let me down, The Ballad Of John And Yoko , and Old Brown Shoe *before* Let it Be, and the singles Across The Universe , Let it Be, and You know my name *after* Let it Be, and then Abbey Road . I might delete some repeated songs.
5. I end my playlist with The End , Your Majesty, and I included Real Love and Free As A Bird .
So, that’s it. It might not make sense to you, but it makes sense to me 🙂

So I created a new list that I call “Originals”.
It contains no covers and I broke them into groups based on the album sessions instead of by albums and singles. I set the track order based on the sessions. I also used the mono versions when available, which got me to the beginning of the “Let It Be ” sessions. Any songs that segued into the next were kept together for listening continuity.
Song information
I used the Ringo version of “Love Me Do ” and excluded the Andy White version.
The “wildlife” version of “Across The Universe ” was used, but I corrected the pitch by dropping it a half step.
The same was done for “Don’t Pass Me By “. The pitch was dropped a half step.
Tracks from “Let It Be … Naked” were used instead of the Spectorized versions.
Any thoughts?

I would’ve included the Andy White version of Love Me Do and tossed the Ringo version instead of the other way around because the Ringo version is the version EMI deemed unsuitable (to the point of destroying the mixed down master tape) and the only reason we can listen to this recording is because they accidentally placed this version on the original single instead of the Andy White version.
If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.
