I don't really think there is a wrong answer to this one. I hear The End and think, “what a fantastic finish – perfect!”. Then I hear Her Majesty and think, “what a fantastically cheeky finish – perfect!”.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

Its a nice little song, but Her Majesty wasn't the right song to end it. The End would've been perfect, but they had to add this in.
That's why it was perfect.

LEAVE THE MAN ALONE!
Paulbass has very unique points of view and likes, that's why everbody (including me) starts a long conversation, to never end.
But well, talking about this forum, The End , IS THE END!!!. The End Of the band, the start of the legacy and legend of the best band of all time, FOREVER.
I'd always want to put Her Majesty were it was originally (Between Mustard and Pam). The CD order makes Paul as if he was the leader and he forceably ended the band.
So, for me, The End , IS THE END.
Let me take you down 'cause I'm going to...Strawberry Fields.

First: Thank you, Sunii.
Second: What's so unique about my points of view?? It's REALLY not my mistake so many people aren't able to believe their ears more than Geoff Emerick, or their ears are just not as trained as mine. Sorry to sound arrogant, but that's the way it is. I can and do make mistakes, too, and I'm happy to admit them when proven wrong.
It's also not my mistake that there are more Lennon than McCartney fans here, so I'm naturally outnumbered on these topics.
One of the reasons my conversations sometimes tend to get long is that I don't let people get away with bs. I like to point out the flaws in their argumentation (and sometimes their language, shame on me).
Furthermore I don't believe in the concept “ANY opinion is correct, because it's an opinion!” I don't question what anybody likes or dislikes, but when it's about true or false, there are obviously opinions that are plain wrong. Some people don't get that and they need dozens of posts to point out how it's impossible that they are wrong because it's their OPINION!
Usually I have nice conversations with nice people. The long conversations are definitely more often with people who don't see their own limits and have a certain attitude – and blame me for that or accuse me of their own flaws…
I'm also a bit touchy sometimes, or too absolute in my statements, and I do have to work on that.
It's not that there are more Lennon fans here than McCartney, on this board I have rarely, if really ever, seen any poster point out whether they are a fan of one or the other except in one of these posts, but that's because you bring it out by feeling the need to defend Paul on almost anything negative said about him. There aren't many posts on here bashing Paul or bashing John, but in most of the posts I've seen from you, mostly on the different songs pages from around the site, you not only point out Paul's greatness but make a point of slighting John, even if it's just a little bit. So yes, if you can talk up Paul and put down John a little bit, then we can talk up John and put down Paul a little bit, it's only fair.
What really irritates me is the way you act like your the only one here who likes Paul, like we all secretly hate him and your the only one left to defend him.

Did you all notice these math tasks never go over 20? And no multiplication, division?! What does Joe think we Beatles fans are? Stupid??????
Nah. A few posts ago I was given 11 and 10 to add up.
One and one and one is three…
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

Look It's This simple. paulsbass holds Paul in higher regard than John or George for his reasons. Usually, He will enter a conversation and valiantly fight for Paul however he can. He has an opinion which he is eager to vocalize and that is it. At Least he doesn't hate John, Ringo and George.

paulsbass: If I ever disagree with you, I will still defend to the death your right to say it.
You mentioned maybe working on being less absolute in your statements. If that's what you want to do, so be it.
If you can accept some big brotherly advice, I would say being right isn't always the most important thing. If there is a chance you may have some debilitating disease, you want your doctor to be 100% right about the diagnosis. If it comes down to who sang what parts on a Beatles record… Get what I'm trying to say? Even if you are 100% right and everyone else is 100% wrong, so what. As Macca said, Let it Be.
Personally, I enjoy reading your debates, but after a while (as I mentioned a few posts ago) they get way out of hand. I'm not saying it is all your fault – far from it. Just learn to live and let others be wrong.
Peace and Love,
A Friend

I think Her Majesty is great end to Abbey Road – it shows that they didn't take themselves too seriously. It shows how the Beatles were just people – four guys – and not some kind of supernatural group of Gods.
For example, my Beatles playlists end with You Know My Name (Look Up the Number) for the exact same effect. Just imagine if the Beatles were all alive today and reunited to do gigs, and did all the Hey Jude 's and A Day In The Life 's, only to end on a comedy number. Fab!
You all will have read that Dave Dee is no longer with us. But Mickey and Titch and I would like to carry on the good work that's always gone down in number two.

Paulbass, I don’t care if you speak you mind. Everyone has the right to. But you don’t have to constantly fuel the fire by responding to what everyone says about you. Because of that, this thread has gone from a good discussion to your personal smack talk board. Let’s forget all of this and continue to discuss and.debate.
