That, dear Egg-Roll, is up to Beatles in the Blood, as it is whether he thinks the suggestion on ranking is good or bad…

I made this list by googling a list of every single Beatles song, simplifying it to 50, then putting it in somewhat of an order. I paid more attention to ordering the top 25 songs or so quite accurately, then I have them jumbled a bit by the time you get to 30. Oddly enough, my top 5 is all John, but my favorite Beatle is George.
1 Good Morning Good Morning
2 I’m Only Sleeping (interchangable with Anthology)
3 Hey Bulldog
4 Ask Me Why
5 I Feel Fine
6 Lovely Rita
7 Norwegian Wood
8 Taxman
9 Girl
10 Here, There, and Everywhere
11 I’m Happy Just to Dance with You
12 She’s a Woman (collectively all live versions)
13 Fixing A Hole
14 For No One
15 She’s Leaving Home
16 If I Fell
17 Help
18 I Don’t Want to Spoil the Party
19 Dig A Pony
20 Two of Us
21 Piggies
22 Doctor Robert
23 You Can’t Do That
24 Baby’s in Black
25 Day in the Life (moreso Anthology)
26 Sexy Sadie
27 She Came In Through The Bathroom Window
28 Polythene Pam
29 Dear Prudence
30 Fool on the Hill
31 If I Needed Someone
32 Paperback Writer
33 I’m So Tired
34 Day Tripper

All right, I think I’m going to have to go for mja’s post nine, both ways make sense it would just probably attract more people if they didn’t want to rank them, but I like both ideas.
P.S E-George (yes I’m now calling you that), you can jump in whenever you want, I’m always looking for help!

Sorry Linde, but you can only have one version of a song, you put the anthology and studio version of WMGGW.
Oh I’m so terribly sorry. No I’m not.
Anyway, I’ll just replace it with ”And I Love Her ” then.

I didn’t know this site had a list, but the one I found definitely had them all; and more.. and about my list being odd, I suppose it is. Your list was dramatically different from mine when I compared them prior to posting. Ask Me Why does come off as random, but I’ve always thoroughly enjoyed it.

Oh I love Ask Me Why . Coincidentally, it has been stuck in my head all day. It’s just that I’ve never seen anyone rank Good Morning Good Morning as their #1 and have never seen anyone have Polythene Pam and Mean Mr Mustard ranked so high and never seen anyone have Three Cool Cats in their top50 anyway. Which is actually quite refreshing. It’s great to see a list which doesn’t only contain the more popular songs.

I’m not sure if it’s for the bassline (because I like Lovely Rita as well), or if it’s the solo. Probably them combined since I have Taxman and Lovely Rita in the top 10 as well.

I love Ask Me Why ! I really like the vocals in it. And I like Good Morning Good Morning , too. It does have a good bassline and a good solo.
Also known as Egg-Rock, Egg-Roll, E-George, Eggy, Ravioli, Eggroll Eggrolli...

I made a compromise. You can only use the songs listed on the Beatles Bible website. It’s just easier that way.
Just to check really, are you saying – which I think would be a good idea – that it needs to be included in the list Joe has in his “Songs” section (remembering elsewhere on the site he has a full list of what was recorded during the Get Back sessions and the diary section includes many references to songs that didn’t make the songs list)? Only problem with the “Songs” section is that it includes Carnival Of Light which Joe, in his most recent comment in the comments, says he thinks the most recent version up on YouTube is yet another, and nobody’s heard the real thing.

All the songs I listed are from official albums, as far as I know; I didn’t list Memphis because it wasn’t on Anthology. I also notice that a few songs aren’t there which probably should be. I’d probably throw Day in the Life in the 20’s or 30’s, and maybe do a bit of adjusting. I made the list fairly quickly, after all. It’s quite accurate aside from that.

I think that’s what he/she mean. That’s quite a good solution.

Wasnt Carnival Of Light played to some people back in ’67 at some arty festival/screening event? I’d have to look up Lewinsohns book.

Yes, it was created for the The Million Volt Light and Sound Rave. I haven’t read Lewisohn yet, but Ian McDonald heard it and Barry Miles has a copy.
Edit: Someone posted much more info on it at Reddit.

I need someone’s opinion. What should do for the ties, I tallied it up and there are WAY to many ties. Should this be where the numbers come in or, what do you think. I know I’m lame, for not even making my own decisions.
