I recently got intrigued by the extended versions of beatles songs.
I know there are ones like 12-Bar Original and Flying and Helter Skelter and It’s All Too Much . Any others?
@Ron Nasty?
@Joe?
@Ahhh Girl?

Here’s some official releases (not counting early fades or count-ins):
A Hard Day’s Night (outro artificially extended on UA tape releases)
And I Love Her (outro artificially extended on German stereo Something New)
I’ll Cry Instead (extra verse on US mono releases)
Help ! (starts with orchestral intro on US album releases)
I’m Looking Through You (false start on US stereo releases)
Yellow Submarine (starts with unused intro for Free As A Bird CD single)
Sgt. Pepper ‘s Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise) (outro artificially extended on 8 track)
A Day In The Life (locked groove not featured on North American releases)
Flying (uncut version 9:36)
You Know My Name (Look Up The Number) (uncut version 6:08, cut to 4:19 for B-side, then re-cut to 5:43 for Anthology 2 )
It’s All Too Much (uncut version ~8 minutes long, cut to 2:22 for film, then re-cut to 6:28 for LP)
Helter Skelter (stereo version is 50 seconds longer, letting it end properly)
Revolution 1 (uncut version 10:46, the cut portion used as the basis for Revolution 9 )
Dig It (uncut version 15:05)
Her Majesty (final chord reattached for The Beatles Rock Band)
I Me Mine (originally 1:25 but Phil Spector artificially extended it by exactly a minute by repeating a verse and chorus, with the extended version becoming canon)

The [Sgt. Pepper ] Inner Groove is not considered to be a part of A Day In The Life , @Dark Overlord, no more than Her Majesty on AR is considered part of The End . It is a completely separate item from A Day In The Life .

While it’s true that the 2 were recorded separately, it’s officially part of A Day In The Life in the same way Can You Take Me Back? is officially part of Cry Baby Cry whereas Her Majesty is officially it’s own track.

There are extended outtakes of Can You Take Me Back outside of Cry Baby Cry . Off the top of my head I can also think of the extended SFF outro outtakes. I’m not sure if this is what you mean by “extended songs” but I’ll try to come up with more

All three appear as hidden tracks; there are still arguments over whether Can You Take Me Back? is part of Cry Baby Cry or Revolution 9 or should be considered as an unlisted link track, we have a thread somewhere here discussing just that, while Joe talks of it being between Cry Baby Cry and Revolution 9 in his article on Can You Take Me Back?; The Inner Groove was included on the US Rarities album in its own right:
From the back sleeve of the US Rarities album, A Day In The Life nowhere to be seen.

I’ve not suggested it’s a song, @Dark Overlord, just that it isn’t part of A Day In The Life . If it was, why is it not included as part of ADitL on the various compilation albums that include it. The only place The Inner Groove follows ADitL is on Pepper.
You can make an argument that there are extended version of it on later releases, as on the original vinyl it only lasts 2 seconds, while on CD and recent vinyl versions, a looped version is included to give the effect they were looking for, but you are — I strongly suspect — a lone voice in considering it part of ADitL.
I look forward to Forumpudlians disagreeing, but I don’t think there will be (m)any.

Just an extended jam, but Revolution 1 Take 18 is one of my favourite Beatles things EVER. Singing it’s gonna be alright while descending into madness is the perfect 2020 mood.
