Yes thats right.
There is audio of him during the ‘get back’ sessions praising it during a conversation over what Beatles songs they could play in a concert setting, and George prompting the band into a brief version when he plays the opening line.
George was spot on, this is a ‘good one’.

Offline For what was a throw-away, I adore this song and have done since I was listening to ‘Love Songs’ as a young pre-ten year old.
The sentiment of the song is so adorably sweet, the uniqueness of John singing a Paul song is wonderfully compelling, the feel of the song is gorgeous and I love Ringo’s drumming; I always get lost in how Ringo has three different drumming styles on this.
I can totally understand why this was a favourite of George.
